"Kmot's" Castaic Float Fly Picture Thread!
It was a very cool event today! Glad I went and had a chance to see so many awesome floatplanes and pilots doing there thing. I got to witness some dedicated arf floatplanes such as the Sport Flyers Aero-Phibian; the Lanier Mariner; the Ace Seamaster; the Falcon Trading Cessna & Beaver planes; and a magnificent KMP Beaver. Also lots of "regular" planes that were converted to floats. Saw a few crashes too, unfortunately.
I took a few pics. 172 to be exact. Plus some video.

Thanks for posting these great pictures. I sure wanted to be there, but had too much work to do this weekend. I've got to start planning my time so I have weekends free

Thanks for sharing the pictures. There's some really wonderful shots in there of the big Mariner and the Beaver!

Did you take the pic of the KMP Beaver on Sunday?? I saw it spin in behind a marsh and thought the worst had happened! I sure hope he was able to repair it!

Kmot, Hey they got the Beaver flying again....They had a few engine out's but took it home in one piece. I think the owner was the Ausie guy, I never got his name, him and his bud's worked on it all day Sat. tell every body left and flew it again on Sun. There were a few different planes come in on Sunday, nice one's too.
