Default Unionville Otter Construction

I had borrowed a friends digital camera for something else, so I thought I would post a couple of construction photos of the Otter.
This first one is the fuselage. I am reinforcing firewall bearers to handle the ST2500.

Wing. I am going to install a servo for each aileron and flap. I will keep the existing plans for retract servo to operate fore-flaps with bell cranks.

An update on construction.... my drill fell onto fuselage last night. Entire rear from aft door destroyed. Exploded like a bomb hit it! Oh well new section is started and will be spliced on, set me back a few days though, it was ready to start sheeting. This should teach me to be careless where I place my tools:-)

Love the wall art on the left side...

I'm working on a Unionville Beaver, been building it for 3 years now: I'd gotten into sailplanes and scale super-details on the Beaver. It's framed up, I'm doing the details and working on my backlog.

The Otter looks good. I've thought of getting one and bashing it into a Twin Otter ("Twotter")...

Default Otter

Here is a photo of my Unionville Hobbies 6' Otter. It has slotted flaps and ailerons that droop halfway with flap actuation. The plane also has clamshell trapdoors for parachute drop. Flies like a glider.

Cheers!
