Normally I suggest that people contact one of the foam float suppliers, such as Ralph Smith. Foam floats are light, durable, and efficient. With a BUSA cub, you have probably built it with a lot of scale detail, and the BUSA floats are matched to it. Just waterproof the floats inside and out. It all depends on what is important to you: Pleasant flying- or scale detail.

Goldberg floats work great on it and look decently scale.

If you want to build them, GP makes a nice set. You'll want the .40-size for your H-9 Cub. Here's what they look like on a ...... Hey.....a 80" H-9 Cub:
Mine are 'glassed and painted, but the kit shows how to MonoKote them also.

You Navy guys are pretty quick. I thought it would make a "cute" signature, provoke some thought about what it means. I actually chose it after reading an "Above and Beyond" article in Air and Space Smithsonian about two Navy jocks during a training flight in a couple of Hornets. One lost sight of the other in a turn and when one rolled out, saw he was in that condition. Post flight analysis from the GPS locators on each aircraft said the miss distance was + 1 foot, - 3 feet.
