RE: 101" Lake Renegade 250 build
Here are some recent pics of JRW's Renegade 250. It's in the fill and sand stage with all the gear installed. Cowling has been cast in epoxy glass (lost foam method) and will require stiffening and rework before it's ready for paint. Current weight is 22 lbs including 2 1/2 lbs. of lead in the nose for balance. This is Jeff's first scale project and it's been a massive effort, his major incentive being the fact he's part owner of a real Lake Buccaneer and loves RC. I don't know what to expect during the maiden flight this summer. Anybody have some tips...

RE: 101" Lake Renegade 250 build
Unfortunately, I am not currently active in continuing my build at this time. I have been far too busy with other things (work, kids, business, etc) to get anything more done. I certainly want to get back at it, but just don't know when I will have the time to. But I am still keeping an eye on this thread and other people's progress here. JRW's build is coming along beautifully. If you have any questions for me, please post or send them. I will reply.

Bent,
I owned Lake 8001J for a number of years. I managed to log 377 hours in this Lake LA4-200T.
I can only tell you how to fly the actual airplane, but my guess is take offs are performed the same way.
When the time comes, let me know.
Great model!

Also directly available from Germany.
I build this plane in 1996-1997. I bought the plans from a German magazine called Flug Modell und Technik. They have an amazing collection of plans. Mostly planes. You can even order on-line if I am not mistaken. So the plans will eb available I'd say.

Joey,, you are correct http://shop.vth.de/lake-la-250-renegade.html
I was just web surfing this morning,, I often surf for unique float plan builds and cam across this,, kinda cheesy but fun
