Default SeaCruiser

I have an old Hangar Designs SeaCruiser kit and need some engine advice. This is the 49" wing and requires a .20 to a .28 for power. I flyat a field alt of 4000' and suspect I should have a little more power. I do have a YS 53 4cyl laying around and using it would save me the cost of buying another engine, I do not want aerobat performance, just some graceful flight that this elegant design warrants. Is the .53 too much? Maybe an LA or FP .40 2 cyl? Should I just buy something in the .30 size range? Any ideas? thanks.

Default RE: SeaCruiser

My experience with the 60' Sea Crusier was that it needed all the power I could fit in. The big issue is prop clearance. I'm an e-power guy so I don't know much about i/c prop sizes. If the 53 4c spins a prop that will clear --use it.

PS great flyer.
