Sea Comdr. Floats with inboasd servo 4 rudder?
SC 46" round tops. Has anyone installed a micro servo on the float with short pushrod just on top of float surface to rudder? <<OR>> Has anyone put a micro servo inside float (yea cuttin the top glass) with a servo tray inside then totaly sealed with wire comming out up the N strut into fuse. The pushrod/ny-rod would come out thru the rear of float right to rudder arm, there would be a rubber gromit to minimize the h2o problems. Any thoughts or should i just due all the pullys ond things? Thanks guys.

RE: Sea Comdr. Floats with inboasd servo 4 rudder?
It has been done. In my humble personal opinion it is not the best way.
1 it provides a leak path into the float. Float that are full of water are called anchors. Blub.
2. A servo lead between the fuselage and the float looks about like a scale set of jumper cables and if you're spending the money on SC floats you might as well try to be at least semi scale.
3. It exposes the servo to water. If you intend to fly in the bay at Annapolis you want to keep anything remotely electrical as far away from the brackish water as you can.
Take a look at a Cub on floats. The water rudder linkage uses cables forward from the rudder horns, down the rear strut, and back to the water rudder. Simple, light, effective, and corrosion-resistant. Use spider-wire fishing line.
