they may have pulled it. We had two at our float fly last year and both of them went in. Seemed to be a handful to fly.

Hi Fellows;

I think you may see the model re appear when it comes in the new colour and paint scheme of two tone green and yellow as they have in there catalogue.

I have one of the originals in yellow and blue on white. True, it can be a handful, and requires a significant amount of set up, but I now have it "dialed" in pretty well and have had some great flights. Using a G-26 with a FEMA onboard starter with a Abell manifold. Wanted a little more"steam" for take off, a little noisier than the stock muffler but does sound realistic when flying over.

Good luck with your model.

They did pull it. I was talking to a rep at KMP about a month ago because I was looking into buying one and they said that the new one would not be ready untill September at least. The new one will not have balsa wings they will be composite and the are puting alot more detailing on the plane. Also I beleive that they are making it more structurally sound. The price is going to go up at least $100.
The rep told me that this plane is a joy to fly - smoother than silk. But isn't that what all of the reps say about their planes? Look on the Beaver video section of seaplanes - That is a KMP Beaver.

I wish that they would do that to the Seawind from GP.

Hi Jeff;

Thanks for the info, look forward to seeing the model in composite form and new paint scheme. Will also be interested to see the mods to the airframe and floats.

Hi WM;

The web site is www.abellrc.com, go to accessiries then to mufflers.

They use to have pics of there mufflers but they don't come up on my computer. The one I have is pretty basic, (2 1/4" x 2" x1") with a straight stack. I would give them a call just to confirm. It increased my rpm by about 800-900. Certainly don't need it in the air but has been great for water take off.

I didn't want to "horse" the model off the water but the added rpm gives me extra power if needed especially in calm water conditions.

A little noisier which may be a consideration where you fly.

Hi Andrew, I,m wondering if you have an ETA on the new composite Beaver? Plus are you guys going to be attending the Hobby Show in Toronto again this year with a prototype of the new Beaver?

thx Dave
