As fast as you are working I figure you'll have the parts made Tuesday and have the wing built by Thursday to fly the airplane on Friday! ;-)

OK, OK, but I can dream right?

we shall see ... i think that the parts shall be here at thursday best, the print man is not in my city so add some postage time to that. I guess in two weeks would be the time ... he was a little surprised about 78 parts to be printed for that wing

How long do you think it will take to build the new wing?

I'm sure they will. They are probably turning photos off for now to test their software to see how it works and then they will throw the switch for photos when they know everything is good.

Those ribs are almost too pretty to cover! Why are some ribs white and others brown?

You will be the only one who knows the rib colors when you fly it. Thanks for the link I did check out the photo album. I have been waiting for a special order muffler to come into the hobby shop so I can get it paid for so I know where I am with my hobby funds. I am thinking about buying another kit the cost is about $60 USD. Dumas Products Estore here is a recent build https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...-DRAGON-RAPIDE

I know a guy that has a Graupner Junker JU-52 kit he is willing to sell but I will need to wait until after my wife has shoulder surgery, probably 6 months. I had the small ARF they put out years ago and would love to build this built up 1500mm wingspan kit.

How well does the plastic glue to the balsa and what type of glue are you using. The pictures show an exceptionally clean looking wing. Hopefully it is going to work as good as it looks!!

I use medium CA with activator, without activator it tends to take a lot of time as it works with humidity. No issues on gluing, holds well. I had a little misperfections on ribs on the end of the aileron. Still I am not sure abou front part of aileron, I am not sure how well the foil is going to hold and stretch without front face. The another issue might be the plastic on application of the foil - the heat would have to be very precise not to melt down the parts. I am thinking that it might have been better to use balsa strips on the top to allow the heat to go in it more than into plastic ..
I will know after i try.

I forgot to mention, that the weight is the same asi the previous wing ... but strength is at different league. As i side effect, the side struts will be unnecesarry and will stay only for cosmetic reason ..

second wing not finished yet because of incomplete delivery of the printed parts, it should be delivered on tuesday.

New wing looks great hopefully it will provide the needed lift. Any chance you could bump up the motor size or use a larger prop to get a bigger bite if this fails?

That new wing looks like it will provide a significant difference in lift. My eyes might be deceiving me but it looks like the chord is wider as well as the length. It doesn't take much to make a big difference when you add both.

I made no progress on weekend while I had to build another 3D printer nearby and I have been given a plane as a reward so I just had to click it in the TX

and I had to take my bike for a short journey to the city and after that i found there is a failuire in the engine so it has the priority now, as on next weekend there is another historic event nearby
