Default Found my plane, what are the best floats for it?

Found my plane! What would be the best floats for the goldberg skylane, It might do simple aerobatics if I over power it.........

Valleyviewrc.com has these sweet looking fiberglass floats, would they be a good choice?????

Those would probably be good. They are made in China and the mfr promoted them here pretty aggressively when they first were introduced. They got good reviews.
Still I like foam-core floats. Since they are not hollow they can't get water inside.

I listed a lot of foam-float providers on my website.
Other useful stuff to know there, too.
Good luck with it.

A little on the short side, but like Jim said, they should work
Those would have been really good on that pc9

Along those lines, I thought you wanted a more aerobatic ship?
A High wing, flat bottom airfoil, trainer, Cessna look alike isn't going be to doing great Imac moves
Actually going inverted might be down right scary

Choose wisely grasshopper

I really wanted aerobatics yes, but I guess I compromised to have a no hassle high winger. My PC9 just would have been to heavy with the floats as someone pointed out. It is already boarderline. and the motor is inverted which may be a pain on the water also. So this plane has a fairly straight wing, and comes in 2 lbs lighter than the pc9. The sportsman imac is pretty simple, I hope it can pull it off with this plane!

And I think this plane with the right floats will have a "ballpark" realistic appearance

I have always felt that floats HELP inverted performance with a flat-bottom airfoil. I even got so I could fly a LazyBee inverted pretty well with floats. For those who have not flown a LzB, 3 channels, high polyhedral wing, and they DON'T like to be upside down.

No hassle? You are going to need water rudders on that one and those are probably the biggest hassle for any float plane.

Ah, but I see. It has to look scale. OK, good luck and have fun!
