Default Michigan float fly

Anyone going to the Midwest float fly Sept. 6-7 in Michigan? Saw the write up in RCM and looks like a great place to fly and see lots of seaplanes. I just got a new Mariner 40 to add to my fleet and am going to finish my Northstar for the event.

Default Midwest Regional Float Fly

My flying club, Skymasters, is the club that puts on the float fly. I have flown and worked at the event the last two years. It's a great event, well organized, and have a lot of planes (have also seen a chopper on floats). SKS video productions usually comes every year as well. Last year we had two or three guys put on a great synchronous flying display with their Northstars!

I also have a Mariner 40 and love flying it. I got one of the first 12 kits produced. I found this out when I called Lanier because instructions in a few spot didn't seem right, they corrected it after kit #12 got out the door.

I've attended the float fly the last 3-4 years and it is very well done and the flying area is outstanding. I'm heading down to Ohio for a float fly on August 9th and 10th. They've ask me to donate some floats that I make and be one of their sponsors..........Seaplane

Thanks for the info Jumpshot, I needed that hotel information. From the pictures in RCM that location looks like a dream place to fly off that beach on the large calm lake.
