http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1994291Yes, I had the 6' plans enlarged. Wow what a difference between 6' and 8'. It looked enormous and is, truly giant scale! I had to calculate the dimensions of the horizontal elevator. It was not shown on the 6' plan. I think the BME 44 with an 18-8 3-blade will be perfect. I love the only way for water to get into the fuse is around the hatch. I'll make sure it is fully sealed.

WOW!!!! Now that is a piece of work. Love the details on your float. Maybe some day soon someone will take on my SR-9 with floats!

It will not get blown over as you taxi back in. (I speak from experience here.)

About to be 2015 and almost ready to maiden her. Still need to mix in a little rudder with the ailerons and cg her. Does anyone know a better way to cg without knowing the true cg for this airloil. I'm going to use 25% from the LE.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2053967

ByLoudDesign 12-10-2014 11:09 PM

Bylouddesign.com! But she is 1:6 scale, have a Boeing B314 Clipper at 1:11 scale!

SIMCO 12-11-2014 05:32 AM

Cg at 28% mac is the best thing out there. For the big floater wing, couple of points either way on cg won't make that much difference. Please ditch the Tru-turn decal. They aren't paying to advertise.

Roger Gray 12-14-2014 01:47 PM

Simco, do you know a Herb Roundy?

SIMCO 12-14-2014 06:04 PM

I know Herb. Haven't seen him around in awhile. Usually bump into him at the hobby shop. He flys Greater Southwest and I am 114th Aero Squadron.

Thanks for the compliment.
I saw pictures of yours and wanted to ask if you had any video of the Beaver?

SIMCO 12-17-2014 10:14 AM

Man I could wreck those floats in a minute. Beautiful work Vindee. I try not to build anything nice for water. Everything i have had has drowned!

TopShelf 12-18-2014 07:41 AM

Vindee,

those struts are awesome, did you fabricate them yourself or is that a package one can buy?

vindee 12-18-2014 11:22 AM

Thanks Kent,
I had to fab all the mounts and cut the struts from aluminum streamline tubing. The struts and strut inserts were easy enough but making mounts for the fuse took some thought and time.

Steve
