Covering balsa clad foam wings

This is the first time I have covered a foam wing with 1/16" balsa. Is there any danger of melting the foam under the balsa when covering it with Monokote?

I'm getting ready to buy a new receiver for a Piper Tri-Pacer that I am building. I'm confused by the number of receiver options. When do you need a remote receiver? How about AS3X? Any suggestions?

Has anyone had trouble with overheating of the ESC and battery due to the fuselage not being vented. I can only fly mine for 4-5 minutes due to the overheating problem.
