Thanks Mistycreek. I spoke with the folks at Bonzi today and they had me going in the same direction. I got the water out of the motor, hooked the pump up correctly and it fired on the second try....

Receiver battery

My used Rio can with a 6.6 volt, 1700 mah receiver battery. It seems to be dead. It's a life battery. I can't find a direct replacement. I did see an 1100 mah one on eBay with the same connectors....

Got the puller at harbor freight and took about 30 seconds to get it off. Just got the motor back together. The guys at Bonzi have been fantastic.

I received the new cable and it looks like it's definitely an upgrade. I'm concerned about the tail end of it though. I believe the term is stinger. The new cable doesn't have even the same diameter...

Thanks for the info. I checked out their page. Looks good. My boat has a header and pipe from BH Hansen. I see they also have one. How would you estimate they stack up? Do I also need a water pump?
