is the msc wired correctly with the ground on the same terminal as the live this is an old msc from the 80s if that helps

im getting some smoking from the cable seems like the ground wire is...

Hi all

I'm a novice at repairing these cars but I found this one in my loft from when i was a kid my grandad owned it and gave it to me

Any way the issue I have steering but no drive the motor...
