Don't bother . The Rossi's are not available anywhere, nor is there any plans to restock. I already checked. I was looking for a .28 8 port .

I wish I could be of more help, but I too just recently bought the Losi 8ight T . I was hardcore into nitro back around 2002 and sold everything off and abandoned nitro in 2008. Jump to present day...

Well, like you I was hoping to gain some feedback from reading this thread ? My takeaway ? Just one of MANY garbage arrogant bash threads that was just a waste of my time. I myself was hardcore into...

Rovan 1/5 gas 4WD conversion

Hey guys,
Is there a 4WD conversion kit available for the standard length 2WD truck chassis ? I see that Rovan makes a "shorty" chassis conversion but I'm interested in keeping the standard length...

RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others

Wrap your flywheel in electrical tape, grab the f/w with a good pair of Channel lock pliers, and then unscrew the nut with a deep 10mm socket. Gently tap on the backside of the flywheel to disengage...

RE: Pull Start Vs. Roto Start

Good comment.
There are times I love a rotostart, and there are times I HATE it. Same exact scenario goes for a p/s.
The Savage needs a hex driven rotostart combination with p/s backup. Then...

RE: Any Truckzilla owners outhere

The TZ kit is a TOTAL waste of money. I spent about a year trying to patiently get reasonable performance out of my .46, and I never did, a sackless POS engine. Bottom line, the TZ .46 is a...

RE: ROTO START COMPATIBILITY CHART

I've owned about 11 engines over the past 5 years, and here is my list of engines that a stock S25 .25 roto backplate will bolt up to with no mods:

Ofna Force .25 and .26

Ofna/Picco .26

RE: Aluminum parts

Waste of time and money. Aluminum is for "lawn flamingo" show Savages, not tough, reliable daily bashers. Aluminum is HEAVY, and passes impact stresses to mating plastic components causing the...

RE: expensive problem

Metal spurs are a bandaid for a different drivetrain problem. There is no need to run metal spurs. In my 5 years of Savage bashing i've trashed maybe 3 spurs, all of which were my own fault, NOT the...

RE: i bet my t-maxx will beat any savage

You can't argue the fact stock for stock a TMaxx will kick the snot out of a Savage in all aspects..... EXCEPT one..... "TOUGHNESS"

I get my butt handed to me every time by a TMaxx on the...

RE: is this melted or stripped?

Once your clutch gets excessively hot, not only does it pass heat to the spur melting it, the heat is also passed to the flywheel, which cooks the clutch springs. This causes the springs to "temper"...

RE: HELP! very high break-in temps

That temp is a little high, but don't panic, NO damage was done. You just want to keep your break-in temps somewhere below 240F Try richening your LSN about 1/8 turn and see if that brings temps...

RE: Winter Driving?

Make sure you block off a portion of the heatsink to allow your engine to come up to temp. DON'T lean out the carb setting to raise engine temps! Allow plenty of easy warm up time befor you start...

Heres some info. There is a link in my post about how I modded my Savage for winter ice bashing. It's a TON of fun with some simple precautions... If you click on my name, and go to my gallery you...

RE: n00b: Ran engine at 320 degrees.

285F is an ok temp. My Picco .26 would consistantly run around 290F. My XTM 24.7 Pro runs around 250F. I don't know why, but it's just the way the 2 engines ran. I definately would not swap nitro %'s...

RE: 30 min play time

Generally speaking I would see about a 20-25 min run time when just goofing around my backyard. When I was into WOT speed running in parking lots, I would only see about 10-15 min of run time. It's...

RE: n00b: Ran engine at 320 degrees.

I've accidentally let my Savages get over 300F as well. I wouldn't be too worried, as long as you were not running WOT for sustained distances when this happened. You need to figure out whats causing...

RE: clutch bell spur gear combos

Like I said, there is always people who will argue as far as top speeds. I have yet to see any credible data showing a savage can pull anything above mid 30's. I spent a years worth of high speed...

RE: clutch bell spur gear combos

In regards to spur teeth count you have it backwards. The less teeth the higher top speeds, the more teeth, the less the top speeds will be.... (IN THEORY).

Every gearing change has both...
