Stampede is a perfect choice, that or a rustler.. Depending on if u want handling or ground clearance.

I have also had no problems with using AM radios with brushless, just make sure your using a high end AM radio and you shouldn't have a problem.

I was thinking about drilling a few holes in the transmission case and adding the MF2 motor cover.

Not exactly, the motor sticks out very far with no cover.

I don't think they will be getting any cheaper, they are discontinued. Once the warehouse is empty they will be all done.

Stampede/Rustler motor protection

I need some good motor protection the Stampede and Rustler just doesnt have enough cover for the motor. My friend has that swami wheelie bar but a few hard landings on the rear and that things bent...

Its only a 16$ fix.. Not a big deal.. I'm not even gonna upgrade its plenty durable as is im still gonna jump it that hard i bought the Stampede to beat the hell out of. That was just like the worst...

I'm not complaining about the truck, i love the truck its my favorite.

I was just testing it, i wanted to know its limits and see what i need to upgrade.

Stampede XL-5 broke her in half first run

Well i just got my new Stampede XL-5, added all my hopups. Managed to break the chassis in half 5 minutes into its first run! Jumped it off a 25ft high school roof about 5 times, couple bad landings...

Ohh.. Heh i feel like an idiot. The axle pins must have fallen off without me noticing when i took the truck apart. I only saw one extra axle pin laying around and i was wondering where it came from,...

Good gearing starting point, Stampede XL-5 with Novak 8.5

Well im running the stock Stampede XL-5 tires i have never ran a tire this size before with a Novak 8.5. What would be a good starting point for me to try, 86t spur. I was thinking like 17t?

I cannot get these things tightened the axle just keeps spinning, Any suggestions? I don't like them loose way to much play.

Stampede if your just bashing.. I can jump my Stampede off 17ft houses without it breaking.

These guys are talking about only jumping 4-5ft with their Evader.. I can't even get excited off a 5ft...

There isnt such thing.

Try the 645mg as sleepy suggested, its not the fasted servo in the world but as long as your not racing i dont think you will have any complaints.

Just lift the car with a block so the wheels arent touching nothing and adjust the throttle trim just until the wheels stop moving.
