I would like to purchase one of these models if anyone has one for sale. I am looking for a kit or partially assembled one. I do not need any R/C gear nor motors ( I have tons of that! lol!)

JR PCM10xS airplane radio and CCPM

For all the Nay sayers that have been telling me that a JR PCM10xS airplane radio can not perform the CCPM helicopter mix function, my response is a resounding “HORSE HOCKEY” but just for the...

RE: BME Edge?

I also am flying mine with a DA-50. The engine starts sooooo easy and runs very strong. No problem punching out of a hover. The plane flies wonderfully. It slows down like a trainer for landing...

RE: GSP Katana 72"...DETAILED BUILD and 3D FLIGHT REPORT

I was very please with the performance and economy of my OS 160 on the Katana. I would put that motor on there again if I was going to fly another one.:)

RE: GSP Katana 72"...DETAILED BUILD and 3D FLIGHT REPORT

From my experience and from what I have read in other news groups, this is not uncommon in ARF planes from the Far East where many of the distributors obtain their products. The glue used seems to...

RE: GSP Katana 72"...DETAILED BUILD and 3D FLIGHT REPORT

That sounds nasty! I found my gear plate to be quite robust. Survived several "not so good" landings. My plane with the "new" wings was just too heavy. If CA had only changed the direction of the...

RE: BME Edge?

Yes you are both right! 8611 is over kill but in the words of Mad Max from the Flying Cirkus. "All planes have a limited life. When you harvest the remains of your latest "Aunt Jemima" you will...

RE: BME Edge?

Ok so it seems I have backed myself into a corner. I have mounted a pair of Chip Hyde control horns, one on each aileron. Got my 8611 in there with the AirWild servo arm and a nice ball link on the...

RE: GSP Katana 72"...DETAILED BUILD and 3D FLIGHT REPORT

Meeko;
I would suggest using about 30% flaperons. I was experimenting with mine a couple of months ago because without the flaperons it is VERY hard to get her to slow down to land without...

RE: GSP Katana 72"...DETAILED BUILD and 3D FLIGHT REPORT

I believe the airfoil is the same Vortec, I will double check. Other that putting lighter servos in the plane I don’t see any way to reduce the weight of a stock plane. If I put a smaller engine...

RE: GSP Katana 72"...DETAILED BUILD and 3D FLIGHT REPORT

Had my maiden flight Friday. I went out and weighed Katana No.2 and she came in at 13.5 lbs. I had the OS 1.60 with pump mounted on the nose with no down or right thrust yet. No frills, no fluff...

Look back in the posts about two months ago. I posted several component weights and I recall a discussion about the cost vs weight on a CF main spar. Seems like there was only a few...
