RE: engine question

The Fantom FR18 is a direct fit. It's a pretty nasty little motor. Had no troubles with mine and i've run over two gallons.

RE: tunning tips

When you get your truck just read the break-in directions to the letter. It will explain the difference from running the engine too lean or too rich and how to set it just right.

RE: terra crusher

I have a Terra Crusher with a Fantom FR18 & forward only conversion and I think it's a great truck. It's very durable compared to my T-Maxx; but I wouldn't sink $600 into it. It's discontinued. Parts...

Throttle Stuck - 2.5 T-Maxx

Any of you guys have any problems with your 2.5 throttle getting stuck? (T-Maxx 2.5) If I give it full throttle and then let go, the valve body does not return to the idle position. Even if I hit...

RE: replacement maxx engine advice seeking

I purchased the Fantom FR18 in the early part of this year. I love this engine. Once the motor was broken in I have never touched with the needles again. If you get this motor just read the break-in...

RE: gettin a tmaxx

I recently bought the T-Maxx from a friend who needed money. I also have the Terra Crusher which is a great truck. Overall, I think the T-Maxx is a lot of fun. I do have some aliminum parts on the...

RE: Thinking of buying a TNX

There is no FRAT in the TNX. The FRAT is from the Terra Crusher which stands for Forward Reverse Automatic Transmission. The TNX has no reverse.

RE: Need suggestions

I've had excellent experience with my Fantom FR18 so far. It's had well over a gallon of fuel ran through it. Good idle. It never stalls. It's a pretty nasty motor. It's a direct fit for the T-Maxx....

RE: revo

The Revo is more durable than a stock T-Maxx. The only problems I've heard about the Revo is the steering servo going bad and plastic entering the fuel tubing to the carb. I've seen the Revo go and...

RE: Deciding...

I'm currently in the same situation as you. I've seen both of them run against each other. The TNX has more punch off the line. But the Revo starts to creep up on the TNX at full throttle. (The 2.5...

RE: Kyosho Giga Crusher

It's in the October issue of RCCA. They said it's the easiest twin engine monster truck they have ever tested. (In terms of getting the engines running.)

RE: bestest

If you're talking about a T-Maxx go with the Fantom FR18. Awesome motor and easy to tune. Holds a great idle too.

RE: savage ss, mammoth, monster gt, or TNX

I have a Terra Crusher for over a year and a half and I love it. It's super durable and with the Fantom FR18 it's nasty. Since the TNX is based on a Terra Crusher - except different motor and tranny...

RE: Need help with Terra Crusher

It could have a forward only conversion. Move the spur gear in the other direction. Do the shafts move?

RE: Terra Crusher help

Give us a little more info. When you hit the throttle does the engine rev faster but the truck doesn't move forward? Is your spur gear stripped? Is your spur gear tightened down? Did any driveshaft...

RE: Terra Crusher?

I would go with the TNX. I have a Terra Crusher and I love it. It is super durable. But the stock motor is garbage. I recently intalled the T-Maxx Fantom FR18. It brings the truck to a whole new...

RE: is the fantom18 good for the t-maxx

I purchased one for my Terra Crusher. I've put so far 7 tanks through it and it runs a bit quicker every time. It has more H.P. than the 2.5 and a higher RPM range. The normal operating temperature...

RE: Priming 2.5 T-Maxx
