RE: Red Wing Sbach profile

I felt the ply motor mounts were too soft so I opened things up and installed long maple mounts. Works fine. Plane flies very nice. Originally had OS 1.2 fs in it. Now using a Super Tigre 2300 (1.41...

RE: Red Wing Sbach profile

Yes, and be sure to add the tristock to back the motor mount up. The pieces are not big but apparently they make a significant difference. You'll like the build. Very nice. Pushrods are great! Why...

RE: Red Wing Sbach profile

Make that 3 motor mount failures. Started it up and awful vibration, within seconds heard a crack then another as first the top and then the bottom of the motor mount U fractured and the motor fell...

RE: OUTLAW from EXTREME FLIGHT

Has anyone powered an outlaw with a .25 sized motor? Does the balance work out better? Do aerobatics improve? What size props have you used and what kind of speeds do you see? I'm looking more to...

RE: Nitro to Electric Information

Big Art Adamisn did them a number of years ago but could not find takers. Course a fox is not a competative motor today, but the difference is stunning. Just be sure not to use an electric pusher...

RE: Nitro to Electric Information

On the contrary the effect of pusher props on control line planes is not just considerable it is dramatic! It is so dramatic that the control line stunt community has been working with APC and they...

RE: Precision Aerobatics Ultimate or Zero Gravity Pitts?

I have considerable experience with the Zero Gravity. It requires a lot of patience to get to fly decent. Lots of mixes required. Once I got them figured out the it has been a decent little plane. In...

RE: New Ultra Stick 40 with a G-90/Header/Pipe

I noticed a couple of comments on wing dowels. With My Ultrastick 60 I installed carbon fiber arrow shafts. Worked great, been using them ever since.

RE: Turnigy C42-60 for 3D Flying

The 42-60 is a real torque monster. Its a really good motor. I find the over square outrunners ie longer than diameter have real good torque and work very well in 3D mode.

I have flown Turnigy...

I was just given an unflown but beautifully built Stinger 40. Could someone provide me with the recommended cg range and control throws from the manual? I'm used to 3D stuff and I'm pretty sure that...

Magic Box source

I am trying to locate a source that makes a device we used to call a "magic box." It was used to drive two accessory pushrods off main pushrod. This was often used to drive flaps with hinge lines...

I'm currently setting up an OMP.90 size Fusion with a .90 two stroke motor. Can someone recommend a prop to start with for this size motor for 3D flying.

RE: how to do no bubble monocote on sheeting?

Thanks for all the replies guys. Much appreciated. I discovered using the heat gun and rubbing the film down with a towel on ultracote and had not done any monocote since I discovered it. I'll add...

RE: how to do no bubble monocote on sheeting?

I used balsarite once and it made a mess of the plane. It seemed very thick and the brush strokes it left were horrible. I tried to sand it and it just gunked the paper. Is it supposed to be thinned...

RE: how to do no bubble monocote on sheeting?

So the idea with the woodpecker is to perforate the sheeting completely, is that right?

RE: how to do no bubble monocote on sheeting?

What is the proper way to use a woodpecker? How smooth do you sand prior to using it? How hard do you push or how far into the wood? Do you sand afterwards?

how to do no bubble monocote on sheeting?

I am pretty fair at film covering. Not great, but I can do an ok job. I pretty much gave up using monocote about 4 eyars ago because of issues with it bubbling and blistering more in the sun more...

RE: Telemetry from a 60 size mustang

Randy

Hi. I checked my list. Stupid error # 16 is forgetting the prop is in the front. The two seem to be related.
