i would but the Wing Dragon Sportster.
it's 4 ch and the components can be used in another plane.
some goes on the radio.it's a regular 4 ch system.
it flys really well and can take abuse.

1 thing though,the begin air is faster then the original WD,
i has a bigger motor.i think ur advice is good,buy the begin air
and fly it first with the ED main wing...

well after saying i had no problem getting it high in the air i
just returned from flying it and for some reason i did have
a hard time gaining altitude with my 8.4V spare battery.i
think...

the built in ESC is made for both batteries.

great pics.when u used the 2-3 cells lipo
did u replaced the ESC?
i was told i have to use a different esc that will know
when to stop using the lipo otherwise the battery will be...

u can always use the free FMS.u'll just have to buy a cable connecting ur TX
to the computer.i saw a few on ebay.buying Aerofly or G3 is too expensive

but wont the motor draw too much current?
the ESC is limiting the current isn't it?
if i'll use a simple 2 AA 1800mAh will it be OK?

i think the canopy does help a bit when it comes
to speed and aerobatics.problem is,it very uncomfortable
to put or use it.

thanks mattchase for a great review.
few things though:
i never had any problems taking off from the ground.i did about
10-15 takeoffs and it was very easy and fast.less than
10 meters and...
