RE: Hottest .21 and .67?

Not wishing to start a flame war of any type, but that is one side of the story put about by someone who has vested interest in selling his own product. Both Mauro & Camillo have kept tight lipped at...

RE: "New pictures" What boat is this, Please.

Brettos,

You have made a nice job of it anyway, and when you get it dialled in you should be able to compensate for the forward mounting of the engine. On FSRV sub-surface boats, because of the...

RE: "New pictures" What boat is this, Please.

Whilst I can't tell you at the moment what make of hull it is, I can add a few words to Ron's statement.
The general layout of the hull is similar to an FSR-V (endurance)boat, with the engine...

RE: Nitro Build Project INSANITY

Don't worry about the spelling[8D]

Well I have to say it's different, but I am all for a bit of lateral thinking.
I look forward to seeing this project when you start to build it, especially...

RE: CMB HR ?

Shellhammer,

The engine will be one of the CMB H Racing (CAM) range of hydro motors, either a .67 or a .80. The main difference between the two is the bore size 24.6mm (67) 27mm (80). The CAM...

RE: Nitro Build Project INSANITY

Pinky,

I too am rather intrigued by the propulsion system. In your first post you talk about mounting the engine sideways. Do you mean transversely across the tub? If so the gearing involved to...

RE: CMB 45 RS Crankpin broken

The cranks are interchangeable between early & late models. The conrod has a different diameter at the big-end. No machining of the casing is required.
The crankshaft assembly C91516 has the rod...

RE: CMB 45 RS Crankpin broken

Hi,

This was a problem with the early model 45RS, which is why they increased the pin diameter. It seemed to affect the gear driven versions the worst
All new engines are supplied with the...

RE: Wild Thing

The CMB LS (Greenhead) was discontinued at the factory earlier on this year, It was replaced by the 21RS which has gone back to a red head. Nice motors, carbs not so good, especially when they get...

RE: Possible Mod ?

Ron,

Could possibly be talking about the removable head buttons that are fitted on a lot of engines, although I have no idea whether the engine on the hammer has this type of head.
On the 91 I...

RE: Nitro Hammer vs Nitro Shockwave

Right you seem to misunderstand what I said on both counts.

Firstly with all things being equal i.e driver ability, boat/engine setup correctly and un-reliabilty not being a factor, for the...

RE: Nitro Hammer vs Nitro Shockwave

Winged Avenger

You are taking this thread around in circles. All things being equal stock vs stock a Shockwave would win a hypothetical race the majority of times, or is that not what you want...

RE: Im Back, and i have a few questions : NEW UPDATED PICS

Props as TERBObob says will depend on your engine type & setup amongst other things

The radio box from prestwich probably wont have any servo mounts in it.

Number plate wise, if it is an...

RE: Im Back, and i have a few questions : NEW UPDATED PICS

Firstly which tanks were you looking at. The really large tanks are for FSR-V boats.

What size tank are you after? Rough dimensions/overall capacity

RE: Im Back, and i have a few questions : NEW UPDATED PICS

I tend to use Model Technics Duraglo, or Dynaglow depending on which CMB I am running.
I usually mix a bit of extra EDL oil in it, just to up the oil content. I sometimes mix my own fuel but I...

RE: Im Back, and i have a few questions

Dave Marles at Prestwich models can supply you with Octura props, he will sharpen and balance them for you if required, he is based in the UK so shipping charges will be quite cheap.

RE: Racing in the uk

The classes in the UK are sanctioned by Naviga and they are:

FSR-H (Hydroplanes) Surface drive, 2 or more planing surfaces, racing clockwise oval, 3.5, 7.5, 15

FSR-V (or Multi...

RE: Offical Nitro Hammer Thread

I would have to agree with Doom & what Ron said earlier on, that something is very wrong with the speed figure of 43mph. With a stock engine and pipe setup I would very much doubt the hammer would...

RE: CMB 67 twin plug head - opinions ?

Cone plugs otherwise know as Turbo plugs, have a taper at the end to seal, Standard plugs are flat at the bottom with a washer providing the seal.
I will post a picture later of both a CMB91RS...

RE: rossi marine engines

A good pipe for the Rossi R90 is a CS5 by Prestwich Models they are based in the UK. It is a very nice and quiet pipe, remembering we have different noise limits in Europe.
It is a good motor, but...

RE: CMB 67 twin plug head - opinions ?

If you are going the twin plug route, make sure the head is a cone plug type, not a standard plug. You will find it difficult to get a high enough compression ratio and good head shape with the...

RE: My Edge does 40!

I assume he is referring to a side to side "wobble", which would be chine walking, and not the fore to aft movement which would be porpoising.
