I've been happy with mine except the problems I've had flying inside a metal building. two other guys in our club have DX8's and have had the same problem with lockouts inside the same metal...

Known issue - there were ~400 DX8 that need to be sent in for a hardware update. Yours falls into the serial number range.

I've installed and ran the temp sensor in a heli application that got it pretty warm but not gasser hot. Don't know if adding an extension would affect accuracy, it might since I'll bet it's...

We do fly in a couple of different buildings. The Hobby Town here is a similar building and guys have seen the flashing RX issue and even crashed in there. I haven't heard of anyone having problems...

In the two instances where I got 100% negative collective I may have had the fail safe set at full negative collective. I would suggest setting failsafe at zero pitch, throttle hold on.

If your engine has a magneto in it you can mount a magnetic pickup sensor pointing at the magneto right through the engine case.

If I'm reading this right Garyav16 is using the voltage lead for the power pack voltage. (??)

If that's true I don't see anyway you can 'see' the voltage of the flight pack unless you remove...

Not sure about the JR radio but I know my airtronics RD8000 has the option of setting positive or negative shift for FM - if that is not right it won't work.

Also try swapping the crystals...
