True but two things.
1. It wasn't destroyed after the jump.
2. No effort was made to keep it from touching the ground during the landing, so it wouldn't have to be destroyed.

I have been flying my Venus II with a YS 110 and love this combo.
But because the YS pressurizes the fuel tank the tanks has worn a hole where the tanks comes into contact with the fuel tank mount...

YS FZ110 muffler

Today I was flying my Venus II with my YS FZ110 and the rear portion of the muffler came loose and fell off along with the inner baffle.

Tom, sounds about right.
But I don't think keeping it under 8 pounds is a realistic possibility.
But even though I would hope this aircaft engine combo would provide decent sport/pattern...

There is a problem uisng the Robart retract on this P-51.
The coil in the struts won't line up with the slot cut into the wing for the coil.

I still say there is no reason anyone should have to upgrade the retracts on this ARF.
My point is that if Wolrd Models can supply a decent set of retracts then why can't Top Flite?

All i can say is I am very dissapointed with the quality of the retracts on this aircraft.
On at least 50 % of the flights I found that the plastic housing for the retracts had either broken out...

Yeah i kinda figured the 5-5/8 CG placement would be too far aft as when we tried to balance at that point we needed too much tail weight.

I have a question that I haven't seen addressed in this thread.
I have a saito 115 and I know the crankshaft is 8X1.25.
Will the included brass bushing for the spinner backplate fit the 8mm...
