RE: Radian - a new e-glider from Parkzone

If you are talking about a loose motor mount -
I suggest removing the motor mount, spreading a very thin layer of Gorilla Glue on the area of the foam which is covered by the mount, misting inside...

RE: Radian Pro - A new e-glider from Parkzone

If the motor mount is no stronger than the standard Radian, the Eflite might be too much for the mount. [:o]
I've tried other 480 size motors that twisted their way out of the mount. - Phil

RE: Radian Pro - A new e-glider from Parkzone

RE: Radian Pro - A new e-glider from Parkzone

Yes, it looks cool.
But, will it thermal?
Will the Radian Pro thermal well?
Isn't soaring like an eagle what we want to do?

RE: AR6200

My problem is the opposite of yours, I think.
I own several AR500s and I've experienced several "brown-outs" with some od them, often resulting in crashes.
I sent one AR500 back to Horizon and...

RE: Radian Pro - A new e-glider from Parkzone

IMHO, if you want to float around and catch thermals, then the original Radian is the way to go. Otherwise ...

RE: Radian Pro - A new e-glider from Parkzone

I live in Franklin, TN but fly mostly in Nashville parks.
Let me know the next time you are around and we'll get together if you were seriously here or not.
I'm retired from work, but not from...

RE: Radian Pro - A new e-glider from Parkzone

WHAT? You have the original radian? How valuable is that? LOL

I just completed a new Radian PNP with an AR6200 and a 1000 mah Lipo pack for a backup. I've had two nonreturned flyaways...

RE: Radian Pro - A new e-glider from Parkzone

Not for me.
I've recently ordered two Radian PNPs for safety's sake.

RE: Got Glider Answers?

Thermals are everywhere. I suggest looking into Carbon Art Videos.
I started flying the Radian almost exclusively about a year ago after deciding that if I was ever going to learn thermaling, I'd...

RE: Are you a member of a club?

I've been in two different clubs beginning in 1976. Bodth were centered in the same flying site in Metro Nashville parks. Possibily the oldest AMA flying site in the U.S.A. One member was flying...

RE: Bird of Time

That is a rather long wait. Best of luck to you. Nice pics. I just painted the botton of my outer panels black. Fisrt flight with painted panels in about an hour.

RE: Bird of Time

I used:

Axi 2820-14 swinging an AeroNaut 13x6.5 prop and a 70 amp ESC with two 3s1p 2200 25c packs in parallel.

A 40 amp ESC would work, but I generally go the safe route.
The two lipo...

RE: Q about electrifying Big Bird XL

I did this a few months ago with an Axi 2820-14. I didn't quite take 2" out of the nose. The ARF version was still very tail-heavy.
I suggest you put a bellcrank in the tail and the elevator...

RE: ParkZone Radian RTF

Yes, I ALWAYS have a radian flying and generally one for a backup.
After the modifications that are recommended in the forums and with the battery pushed all the way into the pocket, I often add...

RE: ParkZone Radian RTF

It is a little nose-heavy, but I recommend you starting there and slowly move it back until you find the right spot for YOU.

RE: Woo Hoo! Got a new rtf radian for $110!! Questions.

Yes, 1300 is more than enough.
I fly with 3 HC 1300-20c packs and swap them out of the Radian every hour or so.
I have yet to deplete all three packs in one day.
Weight is extremely important...

RE: electric bot.

I'm using an AXI 2820/14, a 40amp ESC, and a Aeronaut 13x6.5 prop on an aluminum spinner.
2 3s1p25c2200mAh packs in parallel. I'd rather be overpowered than under.

RE: Radian - a new e-glider from Parkzone

"Tape a penny on the fuse, just in front of the tail. Now go fly. See how you like it."

I've tried it and I like it.
In fact, I currently have 2 pennys taped on, but am waiting on some totally...

RE: Which Transmitter

I just saw an Airtronics SD-10G at the field yesterday. I came home and looked at the stats online.
I've been salivating ever since. ;) ;) ;)

RE: RC Glider I was given.

I'm not certain what you have, but the 5th photo is of heavy duty landing gear and wing mounting blocks.
Maybe it doesn't belong to this model if it is, indeed, a sailplane.

RE: Props

Broke my Radian prop at about 1/4 throttle just getting ready to launch it.
Broke my Ascent prop while climbing at 5 or 600 feet. When it went, it twisted the front end completely out.
No more...

You haven't been flying a Parkaone Radian. Or, an E-Flight Ascent, either. :)
