RE: TT01 or TA05 for drifting.

Very nice but the TA05 is very tunable out of the box. Most of the blue bits are just for bling and to show a personal touch :)

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

That is correct but remember that the Tamiya 06 module is not exactly the same as 48 pitch. It will mesh but is not efficient!

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

If you are drifting and messing you really do not need anything lower than a 10.5.....at a push 8.5 but then you will be putting lots of strain on the chassis as a whole as it was not designed to...

RE: Tamiya TT01 Drift spec

No need to waist money on a locked rear diff.....just open your standard one and pour hot glue in it to lock it! Can easily be removed later if you want normal diff action again.

Also try...

RE: 2003 TT01 Enzo Ferrari..Which TT01 versions upgrades fit

All parts will fit except the steering arms for your older version and the newer type E are different. The steering link is the same for both.

Type E parts including the plastic parts will fit...

RE: What truck(s) are all the scale guys using?

The longer SCX10 wheelbase seems to be the most popular 12.3".

Think the only semi-capable Tamiya crawler is the CR-01

RE: thinking of getting the tt-01 :D

Get the TT01ED. It has the better steering system over the older standard TT01 design as well as a better motor mount and other enhanced bits....hence the "E".

First thing you need to do while...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

If you get a 190mm other than Tamiya you will need to look at offset rims....actually even with Tamiya shells you will need a little more offset, maybe 3 or 4mm offset to have the wheels flush with...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

They are totally black/grey in colour. Have a search for the reinforced gears for the M05 and FF03. They look the same colour!

RE: ta-05 GOLD? worth it

V2 is deffinately the way to go and it drifts very well. If you one day decide to get rid of it I think it will sell easier than the VDF as spares are all over the place whereas the VDF has specific...

RE: My scruffy TT01 :)

Looking good!

Get some oil shocks (the TRF's or plastic) and you will notice how much smoother and more stable the car is while drifting ;)
