GB, really that's where my problem started..
I measured the print for the wing tube !" (didn't even think about measuring the wing socket) Low and behold too small.
Okay plunk out some more...

Okay...the socket measures 1 1/16 the hole in the core measures 1 1/4..
Will Gorilla Glue expand that much???

I'm sure I can, the tube is the paper kind, not carbon fiber, was just wanting to know if I did fiberglass the tube it wouldn't destroy the tube.

I've kinda run into a problem with a set of foam wings.

I had a set of foam wings cut for a Uproar 60, when they were burnt, the wing tube hole for the phenolic sleve was over burnt in...

I bought the kit year ago..it does have a balsa wing parts.
I had a foam wing cut for it..

My Big Bingo has almost the same layout..
The wing tube starts at the center of the root rib and goes down towards the bottom of the ribs the further it goes out to give it detherial (mispelled)...

The wing will still be below the thrust line.
I just want to raise it enough to fill in the saddle and the bottom where the wing went under the fuse..

The wing panel is 38" the root is 2 1/2" thick
I drew it out this morning on paper. With a 1 1/2" tube at the root their is 1/2" at the top and the bottom of the wing
At 13" (1/3 of the wing...

It's typical Bridy wing, the wings are tapered, but set flat on top with the taper all on the bottom..
I'll do some measuring later and give the possible weight and get some more advice.

Later this winter I'm going to build a Big Chaos with a 30cc gas motor, using a foam wing.
I really want to raise the wing 1/2" and have plug in wings with a wing tube in them through the fuse.

Finally found out where the thrust line was, sooooooo in went the Poulan 46 converted by Terry at CH a loooong time ago.
Burrrrrrrrr, too cold to take outside and start...wife won't let me start it...

Yup, been flown on a G62. BIG and gentle.. As all of Joe''s planes are.
Major problem is it will not stop on a paved runway with the big motor and a 22x10 prop.
This year, I'll be flying off of...
