After looking at his website, he has several versions that do incorporate padding that looks like dense weatherstripping. I like them all!

RE: 2012 CAJUN NATS OCT 20th & 21st

This was my first time to make the event, and what a great time! Jon and Monte ran a great show, and were super helpful when anyone needed anything (like a 9411 ail. servo...), even a hammer! The...

RE: CPA/BPA Contest at Auburn, AL June 11-12, 2011

What a hoot of a weekend!!! A Friday and Saturday filled with pipes and screaming .61's can't be beat, especially at a field as nice as these guys have (unless you count that "reasonable wind" I...

RE: YS 63 Exhaust questions

Try Central Hobbies 1-800-723-5937. I recently bought a flex header and adapter for my YS 63 from them. Remember one thing, though. These headers are designed for pattern planes which generally run...

RE: 3rd annual Balistic pattern contest, HSV AL.

Gary,

I'm not going to be able to make it up this year due to scheduling conflicts at work. Actually, Shaun (my son) planned a trip to New York on the weekend of the contest, and since he runs...

RE: Wanted Conquest 7

JCOOP,

Great looking C-6! What's really funny is mine has the exact same layout, only different colors. Mettalic blue, maroon, and charcoal gray stripes.

The DB mount should work fine with a 2...

RE: Wanted Conquest 7

JCOOP,

I have a Conquest VI that was originally powered by a piped YS .91AC, but recently converted to a YS 1.10, no pipe(yet). I THINK I'm running a 14-12 APC prop. The engine fits perfect, but...

Brian,

I use my Makita 12v drill with an old starter cone sometimes. Has cranked up to a 140RX, and works especially well with a heli start shaft for Raptor's and the like with onboard one-way...

mtcarey,

That type mount is what is being used, but with the VERY tight nose and belly pan, any movement is too much. I had thought about going electric, but can't see any way to put a battery...

RE: YS engine with a MK Floating beam mount.

Ken,

The Conquest has a VERY tight nose and belly pan, and no way that I can see to remove the wood beams to put any other type mount in there. I think I will try either semi-rigid mounting, or...

RE: YS engine with a MK Floating beam mount.

Over the past few years I have tried the Dave Brown version of this mount on a YS 91 and 110 without ANY luck, even with brand new rubber isolators. The rubber allows the engine to move so much that...
