I do not believe that mold line in the fuse is supposed to be used as a panel line. I filled mine in and left the top smooth. Only the cowl has the panel line.

Cloud master, a friend has this engine in a 35# Corsair with a 96" wingspan and it flies it with authority. I think it will make this T-28 sing at half throttle.
