What person, not a fighter pilot, was able to extend the range of the P-38 in the Pacific? The same non-combatant flew a P-38 on combat patrol and supposedly downed a Zero.

Thanks Dave,
I now have a outrunner setup I am gonna try. A 400df from Mile High R/C with a 3.5 gearbox and a 14.8v li-poly pack. Should work ok if the specs are correct.

If the CG is 70mm or 2.6" where on the leading edge do you measure it? From the leading edge of the center or the wing or perhaps the gunports? if it's anywhere other than from the center froward...
