RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

I did a little bit of tuning on the engine last night and switched props. I put a APC 12x8 on it and the vibrations went WAY down and the sound levels also decreased quite a bit. I am thinking this...

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

Before I mounted my muffler, I took it all apart and cleaned it with alcohol. I removed the 2 orange gaskets from the spacer and used high temp silicone in thier place. I also pushed the silicone...

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

Ahh, I didn't relize it needed rotated, I did not turn it at all. Most of my plugs are CM-6 so they don't require a quarter turn. Thanks for the input!

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

Well, I fired up my 10cc yesterday. It started easy with the electric starter and had a consistant idle of about 3400. I have one definate problem and maybe a second one. I hoped to fly it yesterday...

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

The black stoppers are for glow. The red (rust, brown) colored ones are for gas. if it is coming apart you should check/replace the inline and clunk filters. Probably wouldn't be abad idea to blow out...

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

Thank You Jimmy, That is exactly what I was looking for as I will be doing the first tank or 2 on the ground so I can switch to a larger prop better suited to my plane.

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

I got my engine mounted up and plumbed up. I am using a 6 oz tank since it fits better than the 8 I had laying around. I took the muffler apart and cleaned everything with alcohol and siliconed it up...

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

I completely disagree with you. Your logic is flawed.

There is NO reason to use metal geared servos on a plane this size... THAT is ridiculous. My personal preference is anything 20cc and over...

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

Did you happen to get an AUW of that plane? what prop? I am also curious as to what caused the dead stick. I need to figure out what throttle servo I want to run still.

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

My engine was dropped off a bit ago. Wish I wasn't at work right now, lol.

How much Viton is included with the engine? is it enough to do all the plumbing?

RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

Has anyone considered mounting this on a profile? I am kicking around getting one of these engines and putting it in a kit built OMP Katana (old) or restoring a H9 twist 40 up in the rafters.
