RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Ya I lost mine ages ago. There is a fix for it in this thread but I like the sound of it better when its off. It does not affect the flight of the plane at all with it off

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Yes it sits vetically. Unlike when it is stock for some reason. To keep it in oplace you can build up the wall a bit with sheet plastic like I did or you will have to keep putting it back in all the...

ORIGINAL: mjamm

I read from the beginning of the threads and would like to find out the latest for everyone's number one choice for a tail wheel? Anyone have any recommendations and/or explain...

RE: parkzone j-3 cub 1st flight

Mine fell off ages ago and I couldnt get a way to keep it on unless I used a bit of Shoo Goo. Its a bonding agent but it flexable so you can still change props when you need to. Otherwise the only...

RE: Help needed with Parkzone decathlon, mustang and stryker... no instructions! help!

You can use the Mustang charger for all the packs you have I believe. The Stryker should be charged at no more than .9 and the Decath at no more than .6. The manual will tell you higher is ok but if...

stryker slowing way down...reasons?

Hi all,

I got a replacement from the good folks at Horizon for my Parkzone Stryker. The reason it went back was after a while it started to really slow down. I checked the packs and they are...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

You can do that or get the Aerobird Challenger tailwheel and put it on the front of the tail skid. The 2 inch thin foamies from GWS work great for the front

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Yes I did use the Cub guts, The only mod I had to do was making a dual servo arm for the ailerons by gluing 2 PZ arms together. Works well and no issues other than it being a little tail heavy. With...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

The problem here is that the GWS props are even more brittle than the PZ ones. I buy the 8060 by the ten pack lol

I have tried them all and I find this one cuts the wind better but will take a...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Is the motor old?

Are you using the stock prop?

Is it on the right way?

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Just take it out and flip it upside down, you may have to bend the little tab on top of where it goes in as its supposed to only go in one way. I had to do the same thing when I built a Mustang with...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

I have mentioed it before in this thread. Get and aerobird Challenger tail wheel from the hobby store. Tape or glue it right in front on that tail skid on the plane. Its too small to make a weight...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Yes a little bend will make a big difference for sure

Did you check the moror screws like I said?

As long as that evevator horn is not secure it will be a problem

I took the jumper out...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Also check to make sure that the motor screws (2) are holding it to its casing tight. You will have to remove it all from the firewall to check this. Then tighten them and the firewall screws also...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

did you straighten out the rudder to center and trim for a little up from center on the pitch? As for the spin on ground, it will do that and thats why I suggested the Challeger tail wheel. Have you...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

I just noticed that you only have one elastic I assume on either side of the wing to hold it on. You need 4 in total for sure. 2 on either side, and 2 crossing over. IF this is the case then your...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

It looks like the rudder is a bit to the left so that may cause the problem. With the TX on and the batt in, adjust the rudder clevis so it is straight. Also try to adjust the evevator clevis for a...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

You have too much down trim. have a look at the tail flaps to make sure that they are level with the rest of the tail, if not up a little (when the battery is in and the tx is on of course). It...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

If you just tighten the screw on the arm that holds the hatch shut it will not move. There is a little slot that the hatch stab sorta fits in. Remember though to have a look every once in a while as...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

YA you can I did it with the GWS Mustang. If yo plan on ever going away from PZ then you may as well just get a good radio and just build it out of non PZ parts. That way you can move the parts around
