RE: New Pacific Aeromodel Clip Wing Monocoupe

That points out one of the things I like about Aeroworks kits..........they include a nice piece of each color of covering used. There's got to be loads of scraps they could include. These aren't...

RE: First Gasser?

I moved into gassers with an Aeroworks 50cc YAK and a DL50. So far I'm happy with that decision.

RE: How difficult is the 35% Edge build?

Boy, all three look great! I'm presently building my first Carden, a 35% Extra 260. I'm just getting a good start on it, taking my time and really enjoying the process. All the great build...

RE: 50cc Yak

OK, thanks for the info. I'm using a Fromeco Iron Corp. 2400 receiver battery for the receiver and a 2300 NiMh ignition battery, also the stock aluminum main gear. AR9100 receiver and a K&E...

RE: 50cc Yak

Mine came in at 19 # with a DL50. Did you do anything to lighten it up? I've got 7 flights on it now and really like it. Looks great in the air.

Aeroworks 50cc YAK 54 cowl/header issue

I'm putting together an AE Yak 54 using a DL50, 25mm drop header and KS canister. Started fitting the cowl today and after cutting clearance for the cyclinder head and bolting the cowl on, I'm...

RE: Yak DA 50cc flexible exhaust header broken

Tnx for the input. Those front supports in the first pic look really interesting. Are those available commercially? I think I could do something like that.

RE: Yak DA 50cc flexible exhaust header broken

Based on your problem, I'm thinking of building another canister support near the front to stabilize the canister. First I need to find a source of the silicon tubing that is used for the original...

RE: Yak DA 50cc flexible exhaust header broken

Please keep us posted on how you resolve this. I've got this same setup that I will be getting in the air in a week or so.

Tnx, Jim

RE: Attention all 150cc Extra 260 and Yak 54 owners

I certainly agree with you except for one caveat.......................not everyone has the time, experience, or inclination to do what you describe. I'm planning on building a Carden, hopefully...

RE: Aero-Works 50cc Yak

Yep, that's what I went with, front exit. The last of what I need should be here this week, so I can get this "bad boy" finished up.

RE: .46 size beginner

It's been my experience that most 3D capable planes fly like *****cats on low rates. You just might want to keep the cg a little further forward that the "hotdoggers" would like it.

RE: Entry level 50cc plane?

I'm also wanting to give IMAC Basic a try. I went with a DL50 and the Aeroworks YAK 54. I have a hunch I'll wear this plane out just learning how to fly the Basic routine with any kind of...

RE: Aero-Works 50cc Yak

I'm building this plane and will be installing a DL50. I'm planning on installing a canister muffler. Checked with Aeroworks and they recommend a KS86-4 (with front exhaust exit). Just curious if...

RE: Power system setup questions

I've been working on figuring out my 50cc set-up while reading this thread. I've decided on the following:

RX system:
1 x AR9100 receiver (which comes with a soft switch)
1 x 2300 MAH A123...

RE: Power system setup questions

I've been following this thread with interest, since I'm presently dealing with same issue. I noticed that your set-up doesn't use any regulators. Are they unnecessary? Or have I missed something?...

RE: Sig Hog Bipe

That's why I side mounted mine, so I could put a cowl on it. Check out the pic in post #65. It would of been tons easier to do if I'd of just inverted the engine.
