If I had some cash I'd jump on this. Money just isn't flowing much right now. I could probably afford the material and gear to put one in the air, and even find a laser cutter...

It sounds like you used the stock exhaust. In that case you shouldn't need to use anything to hold the muffler.

I use a wrap around header and a KS cannister that is mounted in a pipe tunnel...
