RE: Glow to Electric Park Flyer

The Ace Grasshopper will do fine on E-power. A 6V Speed 400 with a gearbox and eight round cells, or Speed 480 geared and up to ten cells should do the job. Select a slo-flyer prop that will give...

RE: Sig Relic or Beaver

I have the Fleet Bipe, Aero Sportster, and Stits Flutterbug. I had built the Aero Sportster long ago, and flew it with an old Veco .19 engine. It was one my best flying planes. I am now into...

RE: J3 Piper Cub giant out there?

Bumpman;

The Thunder Tiger J-3 Cub has an 82" wing span. That might fit the bill for you. It can be seen on this web site: www.acehobby.com

RE: Which Decathlon?

Check out the Thunder Tiger Decathlon. It is available in both the red and white and yellow and blue colors. Flies great on a .46 size engine.

RE: eHawk 1400

My Ehawk 1400 was a dream to fly. Even with the little speed 400 it came with, it was groovy and fast. I did make sure the wings had the same washout in them, and balanced them. I totaled it when...

RE: Help needed converting TT Cub

Peter Rake did an article on converting the Cub some time ago. He used an inexpensive Speed 700 geared 2 to, and 12 round cells. Very scale like in performance.

RE: recommendation for .15 aerbatic bipe

I second the opinion of the Ace Simple Ultimate. It can be lightened up some by substituting balsa for some of the plywood in the kit. It is also a very simple build.

RE: Do you have an original Dennyplane?

I have the 4-K's repro kit of the Denny Jr. As I recall, it is about the same size as the Dennyplane, but there were some changes in the construction (no wing struts). When I was working for...

RE: Thunder Tiger "Sparky": first day out!

The Sparky will thermal with the best of them. The club I fly with has a lot of TD flyers, and I can thermal with them. I usually limit my flights to 20-30 min. as my neck gets tired. Mine doesn't...

RE: Thunder Tiger "Sparky": first day out!

The C. G. on the Sparky is 2 1/4 inches back from the leading edge of the wing. I have been flying my Sparky now for two years, and have had no trouble with tip stalling at low speed. I now have an...

RE: Whats up with thunder tiger airplanes ???

Dart;
If you will call Ace, they should be able to mail a copy of the manual to you. Ask for customer service, and they should be able to help you.

RE: Search for a cheap 1/2A Plane Kit

Take a look at one of the Ace simple series kits. They work well with the engine you have. They are semi scale, and inexpessive.

RE: Thunder Tiger Lazy Tiger P-51

Alkaline;
I have one with an Astro Flight 15G and 14 cells. Great flyer. You can pick these motors up on Ezone or Ebay fairly cheap. A good 35 amp ESC will do the job. You can but everything...

At this time, there is only the white and gold paint job. We have been talking to the mfg. about doing one in the dark blue navy color, or maybe even the Blue Angels one. So far no...

I tried checking with all who would know here at Ace, but no one knows for sure what the colors are. I then went to the Rare Bear web site, and found the real Bear uses a Sherman williams...

RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear

Rare Bear;

As with any factory built airplane, it is always a good idea to go over the gear mounts, and any other high stress areas with 30 min epoxy. We built two of them here and they both...

RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear

The Rare Bear tail must be built correctly to have the required strength. If the tubes that hold the horizontal stab are not installed correctly, it will fail. When we here at Ace Hobby...
