RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

Your welcome NEDYOB. I've ordered from MYRCSUPPLY.COM before and was very satisfied with their service and customer support. Unfortunetly for me they're based in my state so I got stuck with sales...

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

The system is not available yet. It is supposed to be releasing sometime in April (maybe a little after for the Futaba modules?). MYRCSUPPLY.NET has them at a pre-sale price of $234.99 (I believe)...

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

Oh...good point Bob. I know the AR7000 only has one port for one satellite receiver, I totally forgot reading the AR9000 had additional satellite ports available. $30 for each additional satellite...

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

I'm not a jet guy and haven't heard a 'use 4 receivers' statement, but maybe I can shed some light. The AR7000 receiver actually has two receivers in it. This is to increase the signal diversity...

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

My understanding is the module is only compatable with a PPM signal. I'd assume your radio (JR PCM9) can be set in PPM mode. If not then propbably no. Does that radio have a removable module?

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

Well I'm a no-one and am not a paid endorser or user. I am; however, a user of Spektrum and will attest that I've never had any problems with interference, glitches, etc, and that's using the DX6...

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

Very good point. I guess an answer could be: Because your don't want to have to wait for and/or reprogram a similar or more capable transmitter and you're having noise/glitch issues currently that...

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

Well, yes and no. As more people move towards 2.4G there (should) be less folks on the 'standard' freqs. The problem is, some location (like where I fly from) have noise on 72Mhz wether the field...

RE: Spektrum DSM2 2.4Ghz modules for Futaba and JR announced

As an Evo owner I too would like a 'drop in' Spektrum module. Prior to any of this I, with the help of others, successfully installed a DX6 Rf deck in my Evo9. Since the conversion I've not touched...

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

Great, thanks for the information. That is a whole lot more reliable than, 'I think I heard that someone read somewhere..."

REALLY? That'd be awesome if their aircraft version can do the same....

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

Yeah, just what I needed...a radio with a 'B#tch'n Betty' to tell me I forgot to raise my landing gear, etc. And I thought I went flying to get away from that sort of 'abuse' from the other half!...

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

Supposedly the follow excerted quote was posted by XPS on Flying Giants (no, I'm not trying to hijack this thread):

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

I had a Ace MicroPro 8000 that had some unique features I've not seen in other radios. These same items added on new radios would be awesome.
A) Auto-trim (Spindoctor also mentioned this) A...

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

Well I, for one, didn't realize the color LCD would be/are now lower cost than the monochrome. Go figure...gotta love technology. If color is more cost effective, then go with color. Does the MP3...

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

This all sounds very interesting. I really look forward to what you come up with. With my current Spektrum systems, DX7 and EvoDX, I'm set for now, but could certainly see selling stuff off for...

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

Sounds like we need two radios already.
#1. The fancy, smancy one with MP3, Color LCD, built in micro-wave and beer opener. You'll sell hundreds of these.
#2. Upper mid-level 8 or 9 channel...

RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

Sounds interesting and aimed at the high-dollar type flier. My suggestion is to also offer a similar, but less fancy version for the average flier in the $350-$400 range. I work with touchscreens...

RE: Transall C-160

Same here. The current wife creature came AFTER I was flying. In 14 years of marriage she's come to me to the field once (I think), but used to come to club meetings with me (held in a restaurant...

RE: Transall C-160

Hee-Hee...that's one way to put it. Don't buy new technology until it's good enough to pirate. Maybe that's how I should do it too...might save from bad purchases (which I've had my share of).
