RE: this is like getting kicked in the balls for the owner

RE: Found that the X400 elevator lever is loose.

Theres a known fix for this. Done by cutting a thin little strip of alum can to sandwich in between the elevator stud the lever than goes on it. Or you can get the upgrade parts, I did and they are...

RE: How high an how fast?

My XRB does not fly well outside, even when there is no discernable breeze. It just gets blown away and you cant get back! So you do a lot of walking as you fly.

It does have plenty of vertical...

More general XRB questions

More general XRB questions.

Heli flies very easy most of the time. Sometimes though, it gets squirrely on me for no obvious reason. almost seems like its getting flustered by its own downwash....

Hirobo XRB.

I knew I was in trouble when I saw the teeny helicopter flying around the hobby shop. I didnt have any particular reason to be in there in the first place, but I saw the XRB and ooo its a Llama! (my...

Steering servo 1/10. Speed or torque?

This is for a Tamiya F102 (4WD Indy). I got the Hitec 525 which is the speed version. I am thinking it might be too fast, leading to spinouts and the like. Any advice ?

RE: RC10 L3. I like it. Should I buy?

Easy there fireball,

Im not a racer, and I LOVE my Losi XXXs. Heck, the belt drive is the coolest part. I should have explained better.

I want to build a car to shock non-RCrs into trying...

RC10 L3. I like it. Should I buy?

I have a Losi XXXs RTR. Its neat, but I think parasitic driveline losses might be considerable. I would like to try the RC10L3. I like the simplicity, and the potential for SPEED.

Or would I be...

RE: Underwater motor break in ?

The motor runs just fine under water, its not a good conductor. I liken this process to wet sanding. If youve ever done wet sanding on a fine surface like auto finishes, you know its the way to go. ...

Underwater motor break in ?

Ive done this in the past for Speed400 cans, and it always seemed to yield a good running motor. I usually run them under water for about 10min at 2-3v. Then I blow dry with compressed air, followed...

RE: Anyone running a Binary 2 Pro Stock?

I put one in my XXXs RTR. Its faster than the 19t motor that the car came with. From what I hear, it may not be legal for stock class yet.

RE: Newbie to RC -suggestions for XXX-S Sport

From what I know, the plastic RTR will survive the initial learning curve better than the lightweight race stuff. This is important to me. You see, my driving skills are a tad rusty and although I...

RE: Binary2 vs. Monsterhorsepower stock

I picked the 27t B2 for my XXXs RTR. Its as fast as the 19t unit that came with it.

Much better quality and longer run times too.

I heard somewhere that this motor will most likely be legal...

RE: NEW XXX-S! Ugrade opions?

I ebayd a small foam tire collection.
Changed the motor to suit my ambitions.
Picked up some flat packs.
An extra body was lots of fun too.
Stainless screw kit.
Some aluminum bits....

RE: I experienced my first crash

Bites huh?

I usually quell the pain with a wee jolt of something 80 proof, followed by a prolonged period of browsing for the next plane. Hey, its as good an excuse as any to build the next one!...

How important is battery quality?

I see a wide range of batts. Personally, Im using some inexpensive 3000 flat packs. I think $35 for the pair. They have good run time and seem to perform well. Im running 27t stock, so current draw...
