RE: what is best gyro for 3d

GYRO'S and 3D don't mix in airplanes.....period. 3D'rs have been accused of using gyros for years. A few may use them, but I have never seen it. Try a foamie.

Fozjared,

I have been a professional independent entomologist, agronomist and consultant for 13 years in CA. I work in coastal crops of all types, pretty much anything someone will pay me to...

RE: electric question, as i receive no help in electric forum

It's fine...BUT...

That lipo pack is heavy, the ESC and motor are of fairly low quality and can be had for much less.

As a beginner, they will likely serve your purpose, but be prepared to...

RE: Questions on CA Hinges

LOL.

Illiteracy truly is a terrible problem.

It would be helpful if you could get someone to read all of the words to you before you make a another feeble reply. Just in case you didn't...

RE: Questions on CA Hinges

For those of you with too much time on your hands;

There are many of us who have endured the inadequacies of CA hinges. We know how to install them, but later realized that they are just not...

RE: learning 3d, what happens upon flameout?

I had a PRIEST intentionally attempt to fly through my plane whilst I was hovering. He missed, because he just could'nt fly that well....and his plane was 4 times as large as mine.

To fly 3D,...

RE: Parkzone Slo-V engine trouble!!!!!!!

Get over yourselves, you're just not that important. Get a room and don't ask... and (For God's sake..PLEASE), ...don't tell.

To the Original poster:

Turn ON the transmitter first. If...

RE: Sorry folks.. bad day.

I guess that means I should get an avatar depicting the residue left behind said award.

Just make sure it's hovering and/or doing something fun.

RE: Questions on CA Hinges

CA hinges are JUNK. On one glow plane I lost one aileron, one rudder and two elevator halves, (at different times), ...on a single plane. (If you count them all, I have had AT LEAST 18 CA hinges...

RE: Fuel vs. Electric: A Pro's & Con's List

Electric planes are absolutely great! I fly one almost daily. They can be flown anywhere, you don't need a runway for the small ones and you can generally count on a 2+:1 power to weight ratio.

RE: new to 4-strokes

It really depends on what you want to do. That .56 is a small engine with small power. If you want to fly calm circles and do mild aerobatics, it's just fine.

If you want to do stuff WAY WAY...

RE: Fuel and prop selection

Don't stress too much about it. Follow the break-in instructions and later you can experiment with props for your type of flying.

In the beginning, the break-in prop will be fine for your...

RE: Thinking of going spread spectrum

UM...

I am a JR guy. I have a 9303 and a 10X both of which are EXCELLENT FM radios. I fly a lot of JR servos and I have really supported JR throughout my short time in this hobby.

RE: Servo Replacement??????????

Ken,

I resd this differently than you did. Seems to me he has 1/16" of play at the end of the servo arm. This means to me that he has slop in the servo gear train.

If that is true, then...

RE: A Word To The Wise For Beginners

Yeah, always try to fall up.

It takes a lot of practice in order to develop the ability to 'bail-out' correctly from each and every possible screw-up. Foamies are great for this type of...

RE: Don't understand

Funny,

Even the smallest servo and RX combo will never last 12-13 flights reliably with a 600-700 MAH pack. That is, unless the flights are very short and unventful.

Long ago, I switched...

RE: Magnets in our planes

Practice flying without your canopy. It's not hard to do at all.

You will appreciate the practice time WHEN your magnetic canopy comes-off in flight.

IMHO, it's a poor design...period. ...

RE: rudders

I agree with the pro-rudder crowd, of course.

Once you are flying more than just slow, lazy circles in a general pattern...the rudder will be your most-used control surface. It keeps your lines...
