RE: Lathe for conversions

I have a RongFu JFC45N2F (3phase,2speed version of the one the Enco is cloned from). It is plenty stout. There is a Yahoo group for these mills ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mill_drill/ ) . You...

RE: CNC REAR ENDS_2

So long as it is not a few arcs or a circle (not centered on a rotary table). The only thing I see the CNC machines doing better than ANY human is co-ordinating the two handwheels to do arcs and...

RE: alcohol anyone

I'm not really sure where to get it on the street. We have a micro-midget track nearby. A friend crewed for a team and copped a gallon or two for me. It is an almost racing-exclusive thing I guess....

RE: alcohol anyone

Couple of factors. I have run methanol in weedie engines in my boats. Regular oil (for gas) won't mix with alcohol. Use castor based oil, like Klotz BeanOl. It will mix with both. Alcohol stiffens...

RE: ANY INFO?????

1E36F is China parlance for something like single cylinder-2 stroke-36mm bore-air cooled. There are dozens of manufacturers over there building 1E36F's. I have a list with 1E36F-2A, 1E36F-2AD,...

FMS models

I like the hummingbird. They are zips that extract into a folder. Put the files (from that folder), into the FMS folder "models". They will be on your list. Pretty cool stuff. I think...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

The switches don't do anything. You could take them out and use them for some other project. (They use the same case for 6/7 channel TX's too.) MIKE

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

The sim is alot easier. But it is still really helpful. I found that the time spent on it at least got my thumbs to react with the right input. Now, I see things getting screwed up and I don't have...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

RE: Lathe for conversions

HF has a 4 jaw for the 9x20 that is ~$50. It is a replacement part for 9x20's, and I think you have to get it from parts department. 9x20's used to include one. It is cheesy and looks like the wood...

RE: Lathe for conversions

I'm with Ross 3951 on the out of round OD thing killing you. When I was setting a mag gap recently, I noticed how out of round the OD of my flywheel was (Hom45). I'd check that out. MIKE

Might help, MIKE

Edit: Same manual as Morticus just posted, better than Walkera supplied manual. Well, now we have two places to get it from.

RE: DF4 Great $ & Service

I think the heli is the current version. It has the fiberglass head stiffener. What are some other ways to tell? I was exactly where you are, I wanted the Hong Kong price with no Hong Kong freight....
