Stealth tranny outdrives slop Help??

Rebuilt my rc10gt stealth tranny and replaced bushings with bearings. Now the outdrives have a lot of slop. diff is tight & smooth. My other tranny dos not have this. the slop is side to side, not up...

I will try it and see what happens. Theres no # on it to tell. O well it will still hold shocks even if the adjustment dos'nt jibe with 1/10.

Cool! I guess I can still use it to hold 1/10 shocks while I rebuild them. Is the sliding scale that much different between the 1/8 & 1/10? to set the shocks. Thankx for the the info people.

Is this used to help rebuild shocks?? Not sure as it came with a buncha rc10gt parts I got at an estate sale. Thankx for any help you can give.

I guess the the guy he had bought it from liked the slide carb. I just did'nt want to buy a new carb if I could get this to work. I am passing on the perry pump anyway cuz I did some more searching...

Hey! Found this site http://www.perrypumps.com/nitro_page.htm that shows how it is set up. Might get the pump & by-pass system just to see if it works. Would also add a little bling to the truck!!!...

Thankx Gubbs3!! Do you happen to know where I could get the pump or if Conely still has a site? If not..I'll remove and set it back to normal. Would be cool to see how it worked though!!

Ok....I just got this rc10gt from a guy that knew nothing about these trucks. Put in a new P/s for him and was unable to tune it for him. He gave up & sold it to me for $45.00!! I am not familiar...

Figured it out!! There was a small burr on the inside of the outdrive causing diff washer to catch & tweek. Trusty dremel took care of it & it works just fine:D Thankx for the help & ideas:)

Could I possibly use a little longer bolt as long as it dos'nt intefere with the cvd"s?? Is the spring supposed to be tight? I can barley compress by hand!!

I dont think so. The bolt I'm using matches up length wise with the 1:1 pic in the manual. It's the one that was in the diff to begin with.

No it went with the rings And was pretty sht, had no recoil or barely any tension.

Nope ck.d both outdrives to make sure I did not leave anything in them & old diff rings went in the trash. The bearing is in. Could the spring be too long?? The part # is 6582 for the thrust spring &...

thankx FHM. I checked around. A friend has a dynamite torque-start heavy duty box. He will sell it to me for $40.00. Heard and read good things about it. Think I'll go that route. If that dont work...
