I ran into the loose fitting wheel collars for the elevator rods as well .. i just used longer set screws to fix mine though .. but the third wire is a very good idea

Yup, its a factory fubar and everyone I know thats built one has had the same problem .. you will need to bore out the holes in the X plate pretty simple if you have a drill-press, even a hand...

Yes the range on the 05S is one mile..... and if you can still see your MPXT at one mile you have WAY better eyes than I do :)

What ESC is it? .. the BEC may not beable to handle the load your servos are putting on it. Check to see what the BEC is rated for .. 1amp .. 2 amps .. or more .. if its only 1 amp then there is...
