Himodel's 100A 12s ESC

does anyone have any experience with this ESC? I'm looking for a reasonably price 12s speed control for a large conversion.. going to be running 10s voltage up to 80 amps.. here's the link ...

maiden went well.. the wind was horrible gusty. no glitches at all. didn't do any EM shielding.. she had quite a roll tendency at near full-throttle (roll to the left) couldn't get to full throttle....

use to not be an issue, but the last few years 72mhz has been getting worse.. I have a DX7 for my choppers and large scale stuff but haven't switched over my smaller stuff.. hadn't had many problems...

yes in the past I had an esc in it that was only good up to 4s.. it (RIP) now has a 6s esc.. the 25/2 is in my funjet and runs a 5s 2200 pack and a 6x3 apc sport.. it's pretty badass. at 1350 watts

been running the DX7 for a few months now, on nitro helis, glow planes, electric stuff, and now gas models... one thing I learned quick is to use a very good and reliable battery...

XH20, make sure the right side elevon is in the aileron TX channel (which ever that is on a berg) left side in the elevator channel.. make sure the servos are opposing each other with both servo...

just a note to those gettng ready to build this one.. be advised to flood some epoxy on the inside of the fuse where the landing gear mounts.. just look in there and you'll see where to flood it.....

kit quality is excellent as is fit and finish... hardware is very good.. I particularly like the hinges with the control horn fixed to the hinge.. it puts the clevis connection right at the hinge...

critter, I'm running that motor in my scratch-built sailplane at 32oz auw with a 10x5 apc folder w/ 4s 3100 12c... pulls 19 amps WOT and likes it.. I'm guessin that on 3s you could run an APC...

M-C, you 'should' swap them all so the set is 'matched'. However, I wouldn't throw out any that still look good--save them for single replacements in a pinch.;)
