RE: What was your first rc car??

My First RC was a Tyco Turbo-Hopper that died pretty quickly. I then got a Radio Shack Red Arrow buggy which I thought was fast. It was similar to a Hornet. My first hobby grade vehicle was a...

RE: lhs horror stories

Yup, I will give the LHS business but refuse to place orders with them. I have had too many experiences where they say they have ordered something and they don't or it takes 2 months to appear. If...

RE: HPI RS4 Sport Rebuild Worth It?

I have an RS4 sport as well and was able to get many of the suspension peices through the LHS just recently. I got arms, uprates, shocks, and steering and rear caster blocks no problem. As far as...

RE: sikk 27cc marine motors

I think one of these camp fuels bottles in the 325ml size may work well.

RE: sikk 27cc marine motors

Where might I get said intake resonator? I am running the air cooled CY27 with a Canister muffler and would like to try a resonator out. Thanks.

RE: Anyone Got plans for large Cat 60"+

I made the mistake of starting the build on my Woody Vee about a year ago and didn't take pictures. I only took the project off of the shelf to start working on it again a few weeks back (baby came...

RE: Chung Yang engine versus Sikk

The motor was rated at 3.25 from Dave's Discount motors. I have a Bennett canister muffler on it for the time being until I can get a tuned pipe on it. The boat it is to go in is a little ways off...

RE: Chung Yang engine versus Sikk

Nah, I am not trying to start the same old argument. As far as I am concerned you buy what engine you feel is a good vale for the money. I could have bought the Zenoah but figured I would get the...

RE: Chung Yang engine versus Sikk

Yeah, I know it is no Zenoah but I will give it a go anyways as the price was right. If it blows up on me I'll drop the coin on a Zenoah. The new 26 airplane model with the electronic ignition...

RE: Chung Yang engine versus Sikk

Cool, I kind of figured they may be the same. I am going to continue building my woody soon so I'll try to take pics and post them. I will start working on the motor mounts tonight. I hope this...

Chung Yang engine versus Sikk

All,

I have a CY27 engine I purchased from DDM. It is rated 3.25hp. I am just wondering if this engine is compatible with Sikk parts available at Oneill Bros? Any idea? Thanks.

RE: Axial 28 versus Sportwerks (Mach) 26

Well I went to the LHS and talked to the resident car guy. He told me the same thing you did, Supertib. He said they Axial would not be a noticeable improvement and not worth the coin to upgrade...

RE: Axial 28 versus Sportwerks (Mach) 26

I think I will pick up the Axial as well as look for a better pipe. Then I can mix and match between my Savage and TTR-ST1 to find a decent combo. I think the top end of the SW26 would be nice in...

RE: Axial 28 versus Sportwerks (Mach) 26

Ouch. I ask a basic question and it turns into a fist fight. And I still haven't really received a definitive answer to my question.

RE: Axial 28 versus Sportwerks (Mach) 26

I see you are in Canada. Where do you get said engines from then?

As far as modding goes I am capable. I modded my s25 including changing the timing somewhat to get more power out of it. Then...

RE: Axial 28 versus Sportwerks (Mach) 26

Supertib,

Point made. My SW26 is not the V2, but the V1. Am I still wasting my money if I spend the $90CAD to get the Axial 28? I never plan on racing the Savage but if I am going to lose all...

RE: Axial 28 versus Sportwerks (Mach) 26

Don't start with the "Axial 28 is just a K4.6" as I know this is bull. And as far as top end goes I think bottom end torque is more important in a 12lb truck. The Sportwerks 26 has plenty of top...

Axial 28 versus Sportwerks (Mach) 26

I know, not another motor comparo question  . I currently have a Sportwerks 26V1 in my Savage and was thinking of upgrading to a Axial 28. All said and done it would cost me $90CAD. Am I...

RE: Need a good, cheap dremel

Um, no they are not. Dremel is seperate and actually makes some of the Craftsmen models.

I would not get one of the off brand cheap models but save and spend the little extra on a genuine...

RE: Outboard throttle linkage question

Thanks Ron. I kind of figured that was how to do it but wanted to be sure. I hope to get this old relic up and running by the weekend.

Outboard throttle linkage question

I am building up an old Dumas tunnel hull and have a question about the throttle linkage. How do you set the cable up so that the throttle does not change when you turn the boat? The motor I am...
