RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

Is the muffler that comes with the VV RC 20 engine one that would be used for a side mounted airplane such as a profile or for a inverted spark plug straight down engine?

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

OK, enough already about motor vs engine. This is suppose to be a thread about Valley View engines. Please take your motor engine debate to some other place !!!!!

RE: CRRC Back Fire

Jodi in your post you said that the engine spark doesn't retard until you have a RPM of over 300. I presume this feature is built into the ignition so you can time an engine by moving the prop...

RE: ME262 Fan Jet Engines

One more question. The calculator shows amps in and efficiency and MAX efficiency and current @ ME. Could you explain the reason for the two different ratings?

RE: ME262 Fan Jet Engines

Thanks, if I read the calculator correctly I would get 22 oz of thrust with a speed 400 with a 5x5 prop !!!! With two speed 400's for a total of about 44 oz thrust and a overall weight of about...

RE: ME262 Fan Jet Engines

Maybe I should be looking at Graupner Speed 400 6 volt motors run in parallel on a 3 cell Lipo ? What should I expect in thrust from this set up if I use a 5x5 prop? Would a 25 amp ESC be...

RE: Extra 330L strange flight problem

The wing on this airplane is balsa sheeted foam and is very ridged. The stab, elevator, fin and rudder are also sheeted foam.

RE: Extra 330L strange flight problem

I did try something a month ago. I thought that maybe the fin/rudder was "in the shadow" of the fuse at the bottom of the loop and was not getting in the airstream enough to hold the course. I...

RE: Extra 330L strange flight problem

The right wing will drop then it will just yawl. I try to keep the loop round but it is a little short in the last 90 degrees. When I do the loop I'm holding a small amount of up elevator then...

RE: Extra 330L strange flight problem

Dick, could you explain a little more about how "the applied elevator force is actually shifting the model sideways." Also, what happens in a high speed stall?
thanks

RE: Extra 330L strange flight problem

Thanks for your reply. I will check out some of the other threads on this subject. I wouldn't think it would be a tip stalling issue since I can land it slowly and it doesn't drop a wing.
