finally got to weigh the Extra, it comes in at 4kg (or 8.8lbs) all up. Batteries are 6V 2500mAH NiMH.

I have re built the stab after removing the original, I take your point FKY1000 about removing the covering and yes you can mark the stab easily but in this case I don't think that was the problem....

I have just rebuilt a Byron Pitts with a Super Gemini 240 Twin and it weights in just under 9kgs (approx 19 lbs). It flys well although definitely not 3 D. I have had it certified for everything...
