RE: FMS sim problems

OKay, I finally figured out the problem with my simulator. It turns out this was a software compatibility issue with the FMS simulator and the DF models I installed. There's a bit of confusion on...

RE: FMS sim problems

I am having problems launching the Draganflyer model from the ground up. The only way I can fly is to perform a hand launch. Tried all kinds of mapping/configuration setting to no avail. Whenever,...

RE: New Draganflyer - Go easy...

IMO, one of the best ways to learn how to fly is use a tether while flying in a big grassy field. The tether can easily be a lightweight string tied to one of Dragranflyer legs while other side is...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

I'm already in the dog house when I told my wife about my overpriced toy. Didn't think spending more money on a camera that I wasn't going to use too often would fly with her. Besides, the videos...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

If the DF still hasn't shipped, you have time to change your order on your camera selection. I originally ordered the Eyecam Extreme but opted for the regular camera after reading/seeing the...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Thanks Hunter850 for the complement. I am really glad that the CF blades worked out well for you. I really like the stripe tape scheme you have. Do they help with visibility and orientation? May...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Be careful on the used stuff considering how there could be hidden damage from various crashes and mishandling. You also have to figure out the condition of the motors which isn't always obvious.

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Yeah...I had a similar experience taking off from the ground using TI around mid noon and suddenly the DF banked left really hard after 3 feet and hit a tree 25' away. Fortunately, it was a very...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

There's quite a few people on this forum using the CF Blades from Germany. SgtBilko got a replacement set but I am not sure if had a chance to test them out.

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Which camera do you have David? I find it really strange that the DF "freaks" when it goes beyond the range of the transmitter. Supposely, it shuld be able to land itself in the event the...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

How about a loose tether under the DF to mount a camera using rubber bands. This way, it will isolate the camera from the rest of the DF structure.

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Gathhill,

Your CF blades are coming in the mail as we speak. I believe uwe2005, 1videoman1 and arcavision can vouch for more stable flight from the CF blades. They all purchased them recently...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Hi Hunter,

Balancing the battery is very important for stable flight and the thing I do is find an initial position and perform a finger balance off the motor arms, first for left/right and then...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

However, if they send stuff via Candian Post, it can take upwards of 3 weeks to deliver to you. I think the major expense is DHL.
