RE: Going flat

I had the same problem with my Showtime. Backing off the rudder a bit made the difference for me.

RE: Saito 150 vs Saito 125 For Showtime 90

I've got a Saito 1.25 on mine, and never once thought it didn't have enough power. I have an APC 16x4w on the front, and it has unlimited vertical. It is not a rocket, but it doesn't need to be. ...

RE: Will a fuel pump help with flooding?

Wow, wasn't expecting this kind of response. Anywho. I'm going to go with the Cline set-up along with a new DuBro fuel tank (I've heard some of the Hanger 9 tanks don't stand up too well to more...

RE: Will a fuel pump help with flooding?

Yeah, forgot to mention that, sorry. It seems that the Iron Bay is undergoing some changes, and the link in the Saito page points to a page cannot be found. Looks it will have to be the Cline. Do...

Will a fuel pump help with flooding?

I've got a Saito 1.25 mounted inverted on a Hanger 9 Showtime .90. Ever since I've had it, I have had problems with flooding. My remedy was to make a loop around the motor mount. It stopped the...

RE: Showtime

My stab has a decent amount of play, but I have just kept flying it. Hasn't caused me any problems for 50+ flights.

RE: Showtime

I also had hinge failures on both elevator halves and the rudder. I put CA hinges back in, but I used a brand that I've never had trouble with.

Time for a new plane, need a little help...

I've got a Saito .91 and an OS .46 AX sitting around, and one of them need a plane to go in. So far I have my eyes on either the Seagull Extra 300 .60 for the .91 or the Phoenix Extra 330 .60 for...

RE: Running Saito 1.25 with no muffler?

About 3/4 of the threads are gone inside the muffler, so that probably wouldn't work too well.

RE: Running Saito 1.25 with no muffler?

Yeah I stripped the threads on the muffler itself, which from what I've read is the opposite of where most peole strip them. I can't order a new muffler right now though, as Horizon doesn't seem to...

Running Saito 1.25 with no muffler?

I have had problems keeping my muffler on since I got the motor. Most of the flights on it the muffler was loose. The threads on it finally stripped out, and today it came off completely and was...

RE: ARF Pilots; What would you fly if there were no ARF's?

I probably wouldn't be flying. I don't even want to take the time to assemble an ARF. Maybe when I get older I might feel differently, but right now I would rather spend my time flying.

RE: Powerline Hobbies EDGE 540

I had a Saito .91 on mine. I think a Saito .82 would do good, but I think you would be disapointed with the .46. It would fly the plane, but it would probably be lacking in vertical. The plane...

RE: Powerline Hobbies EDGE 540

Never had any problem with the fuse. Probably should have clarified what I meant by the carbon rods, but yes you got it. Works just like flying wires.

RE: Powerline Hobbies EDGE 540

Only thing I did with mine was add some carbon fiber rods to the horizontal and vertical stabilizer for stregnth. People were reporting problems with the stab breaking in flight.

RE: OMP katana 46" profile: it can't fly 3D

You make no mention of what kind of problems you have with manuveurs. All you say is that it can't fly 3D. I have the Accel Hobbies Katana, which as far as I know has no large differences in the...

RE: SAITO .91: what is the best 3D plane for it?

I never had a problem doing hovers or waterfalls, but harriers did have some wing rock. I was always able to get it smoothed out with some stick work. I'm not trying to say it was the best 3D plane...

RE: Show Time With Sato 125

I use high temp RTV. Mine comes loose where the muffler attatches to the exit tube, probably because I can never get it real tight, and I'm lazy and never cleaned the threads when I put the RTV on. ...
