Yeah I understand what you're saying about timing making a big difference to performance but I only carried out mild mods in this area as I don't have a degree wheel, so I'm not sure I gained anymore...

Quick update, the supplier has now changed tack and said he doesn't know "why" the engine has failed which contradicts what he said yesterday when he implied that the engine had ingested something...

I'm sure he's very knowledgeable, however I would have thought that the only way to relive mechanical pinch on initial start up is to pre-heat the engine to make the sleeve expand?
