Yeah I understand what you're saying about timing making a big difference to performance but I only carried out mild mods in this area as I don't have a degree wheel, so I'm not sure I gained anymore...

Thanks for the reply. FYI I have power- ported my 26 engine and I'm running a tuned pipe so hopefully it will benefit from a larger carb

Can anyone tell me if a carb for a 28 size engine would have a bigger internal diameter venturi and jets etc than a carb for a 26 engine?

Best pipe for the HPI K4.6HO?

The supplier has suggested idling the engine for 4 tanks which seems like an out dated method to me. It would take the engine half an hour to burn through one tank on idle which...

Quick update, the supplier has now changed tack and said he doesn't know "why" the engine has failed which contradicts what he said yesterday when he implied that the engine had ingested something...

I'm sure he's very knowledgeable, however I would have thought that the only way to relive mechanical pinch on initial start up is to pre-heat the engine to make the sleeve expand?
