RE: DA 100 - starting drill?

Bob,

The typical starting method you described with your first engine is the same my DA 100 goes through with each start. If you're unhappy with the new DA100 that starts on the first flip, I'll...

RE: Help me Quiet down my airplane!!

You may look at Chip Hyde's site. I don't have my 29% Katana anymore but was looking hard at the Hyde pipe for it. Appears to be light weight, and priced right.

RSS Syndication

Good afternoon,

I'm curious if you guys have considered syndicating (XML/RSS) the forums so we could use a feed reader to subscribe to the forums that we wish to track rather frequently. In a...

RE: Switch Mount Direction

I run my switches in the forward "on" position so that they turn off when navigating through the farm equipment that sits along the side of our field and shreds airplanes.

RE: What would you like to see

Mark,

I realize that there has been an overhaul at Aeroworks. I was actually fine with the last round of aircraft, like the Katana's and the other ARF's. One thing they were lacking was a good...

RE: LANDING GEAR BOLTS

Running 3/16" axles. Seems that most of the wheels that fit this airplane are drilled for that axle. (At least the H-9 Pro Lite Wheels were)

RE: Aeroworks new 35% Extra 260

Merely FYI, got a message from Rocco this week that Aeroworks is shooting for a December/Early January ship date on these. Very exciting!

RE: Aero-works 36% Katana comments on anybody?

Glad you found what you were looking for David. As Wayne mentioned, I've got one of these and absolutely love it. Did a few mods to keep it light, like CF mains and tail gear, single 8611 servos for...

RE: Aeroworks 36% Katana

HD, I'm just down the road in Bloomington and would be glad to send pics or bring my 36% Katana up there for you to check out if you have any questions about anything--not suggesting that you will,...

RE: 36% Katana from Aerowoks

Never heard of the World Models 36% KAtana. I did a quick google search and didn't find it either. Interesting. Let us know if you buy it or not.
This one averages around 30#, although with some...

RE: 36% Katana from Aerowoks

Exact mixes:

Rudder-> Elevator +- 6% (JR 8103)
Rudder->Aileron +- 5%

I also have a throttle to elevator mix. -7% when the throttle is at idle.

Hope this helps. I think if you're...

RE: 36% Katana from Aerowoks

CG is REALLY close to the tube....The mix out is a small percentage on the elevator and ailerons (less than 4% each way, but without the Tx in front of me I can't tell). It was actually minor...

RE: 36% Katana from Aerowoks

I wasn't particularly asked, but I can provide a flight report based on 12-flights.....

The 36% Aeroworks Katana is a rock solid IMAC machine. I'm still getting used to it, but so far so good....

RE: New Hanger 9 p-51 mustang **Trainer?!?**

I think it's a great move. You get your first and second airplane by only buying one. Mike even admits on the site that folks have to adapt and give into the conventional way of thinking that a...

RE: Wild Hare Extra 260 Pictures

Tom, what is the current status on the 260's? Saw your update on the WHRC site 5/19. Curious how many of the Wagstaff 260s are en route to the USA, and how many are spoken for.

RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

Photo realistic seemed to work for Wgeffon this year in his 35% radio craft. Have some realistic instruments put on a grey background and print to a photo printer. I think it faded after a while, but...

RE: 29% Katana-S ARF---Aeroworks!!!

I left the holes open. Haven't had an issue since my muffler stopped falling off/leaking. Even then, the only oil showed up on former 1 behind where the muffler is installed. If you're using a stock...

RE: 29% Katana-S ARF---Aeroworks!!!

I have 90+ flights on the airplane in this configuration and haven't seen an interference problem to this point. The threaded rod feeds into nylon ball links and the nyrod for the throttle is plastic...

RE: 29% Katana-S ARF---Aeroworks!!!

Mine was just a tiny bit tail heavy during the intial flights. Inverted was hands off, which it wasn't supposed to be. So, the 4000 and 2000 mah lithium ions went on the sides of the motor box in...

I like the comment above about the "attitude that goes with them." Express your opinion then flame some folks, I guess. What do you think about those guys who fly IMAC to hone their R/C skills just...

RE: DA 50 clicking noise and backlash........

I have the similar noise. It happened right after Wgeffon went through a series of violent snaps with my Aeroworks Katana. Interestingly enough, though, the noise seems to be amplified by the Dave...
