i have used a .15 with a full length pipe and i was using 6x5 apc but probably going smaller on diameter and more pitch would get more speed if your plane was sleek enough

look for a small delta or something with swept back wings.

yes to get real speed this would need extra work but it gives you a good starting point to build from maybe with improvements i have seen them fly and they fly quite nice but could be faster

you can get plans for the sizzler they should be good for 100mph+ with correct engine and reinforcements

we used to use the little toni for sport 40 pylon racing but now it is not competative because the wing is foam anddoes not have a carbon spar. I would not recomend putting a dubb jett into it but...

single aileron works well if you go fast enough it is very effective you wont notice the difference of missing an aileron just think less drag more speed

Have you ever tried a carbon fiber and balsa main spar this is light and extremly strong when done correctly
you should epoxy glass the whole spare in.
This is how it is done in pylon the balsa...
