RE: HPI Nitro Rush Promblems

Just for future reference, if your car is bogging down like that (as in it sounds like there is too much fuel for the engine and not enough air to properly burn) then your needle(s) are too rich....

RE: getting a rush evo to wheelie?

I would just get the yellow soft springs (that's what I use on my MT2) and the stiff and stiffer springs. I think the stiffest is the purple, but I'm not sure. Then you can just experiment! I pair of...

RE: New Pipe for a .26 HB LSP.

Oh, sorry, I'm not much into 1/8th scale myself, except for my T-Maxx, but that doesn't really count... :D

RE: getting a rush evo to wheelie?

Oh, of course! How could I have forgotten. Keep in mind, a smaller clutchbell/pinion gear and larger spur gear will give you more acceleration.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Okay, thanks man. I don't know where it is...

I haven't had a problem with ballooning. Perhaps you could try softer springs and less spacers in the front perhaps? Or stiffer ones and more...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I was wondering if that had ever happened to anyone. I noticed the evil-clip on there and didn't know if that design would hold up well or not. It seems to do pretty well, but I guess it isn't...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I am so happy. :D

I got it working! I apparently wasn't priming it enough and that pipe was too restrictive for it. Now it starts on the first pull! It is raining here right now, but hopefully...

RE: getting a rush evo to wheelie?

Stiff springs in the back and tighten the feces out of your slipper clutch may make it wheelie. Also, try putting a ton of spacers on the back as well if you don't have stiff springs or put them on...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I have about 6 inches of fuel line... Well, it began to rain here today, but I'll still try to fix everything today. I'm not frustrated anymore, and I figured out that to fix this, I won't have to do...

RE: New Pipe for a .26 HB LSP.

It depends on what you want. If I am correct, I believe that fatter, shorter pipes help the lower power end more, and the longer, skinnier pipes help the top power end more. There are also ribbed...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

About the knuckle problem, it has been asked many times before. You can melt a nut on the other side as described in an earlier page in this thread, or I just used threadlocker and it seems to be...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Okay, I know this is off topic, but I like you guys so much and trust you that I have to post this here. Moderators, you understand, right? ;) Thanks in advance.

I am very frustrated at the...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

No, I don't think that's what he meant. He means on the outside of the carburetor, not the inside. Where the carburetor linkage attaches to the ball joint, in that area, there should be a little boot...

RE: MT2 .18 SS Flaws...

You put the shims between the bevel gear and its bearing. You need to take the evil-clip off the shaft in which the bevel gear is on and slide it out, then put the shims on top of the bearing. Or,...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Hey, I'm still here! I had a big day yesterday with 4 of my really good friends, so I didn't have time to do any posting yesterday.

Which also means I haven't run my MT2 any either. However, I...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Yeah, I thought the .18 for my T-Maxx would be good. The 2.5 engine (in my honest opinion) doesn't have quite enough torque to pull such a heavy truck with that gearing. And I've heard that the O.S....

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Just got back from my lake house. I had a great time bashing this thing around, and nothing broke! How lucky! The only thing inconvenient is that the wheel nuts kept coming loose, and every run or so...

RE: Piston and Sleeve

As a matter of fact, I haven't had any reason to take off the cooling head on my engine, but I need to clean it so I'm going to go do that now. It needs a good scrubdown, there are a few specks of...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Thanks.

Turns out my front differential started slipping a little bit after I posted that last. Well, it is much easier to get to the front one than the back and I had it shimmed and put back...

RE: glow plugs? what do u use

I use the McCoy MC9 plugs, not the MC59's. They work pretty well for me.

McCoy MC9 Glow Plug

EDIT: Wait, no, I don't think that's what I use. Mine are made by Dynamite... But it says MC9...

RE: Help a begginer with a Mt2

I really don't think it is your carburetor adjustments. If you can at least get it running and not stalling, you should see much performance than that. At the richest setting on my MT2 that I can...

RE: I know,I know

The fact that you have the power to do this is what irritates me. I probably won't be seeing a new R/C for a year or so. I'll just have to make do with what I have (see signature... hahah!)

RE: clean vs. dirty

I don't have an anondized cooling head, so I think it's okay.

Thanks for the tip, D0G, I won't spray it in my eye. ;)
